PETE is 100% recyclable, making ideal for packaging.
It is light weight and can be crushed / compressed, making it easy to transport to recycling plants. Most supermarkets have collection points, making it convenient for customers to return their empty packaging. The large proportion of supermarket customers return used PETE packaging. This means that used PETE packaging is recycled into new products. Therefore, it could be said that PETE is a sustainable material. Approved by Food and Drug Administration (FDA)

Geographical Indication (GI)

Mahabaleshwar produces 20,000 tonnes of strawberry a year. Currently, there are 1,500 to 1,600 farmers who cultivate strawberry in the Mahabaleshwar area. Mr.Bhilare, President (AISGA) said, Each box of our strawberry sells at the rate of Rs 200-300 a box in months between December and March. Our produce is sold in all major cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore and Kolkata. Strawberries produced here are of a superior quality because of the temperature which remains between 15 C and 24C When the temperature goes above 24C, the taste of the fruit changes. Mahabaleshwar s Strawberry farmers got GI Certification in 2010.
