Muhammad Iqbal Qarshi

Muhammad Iqbal Qarshi is a son of Shifa-ulmulk Hakeem Mohammad Hassan Qarshi who is one of the most famous hakims of his time in Indo Pak subcontinent. He not only worked to keep his father's work but also established in on modern lines creating one of the largest food businesses in the country.

Mr. Iqbal Qarshi did Masters in Chemical Engineering and established a small organization which mainly produced herbal medicines and a registered Category A Hakeem He is the CEO of Qarshi Industries (Pvt) Ltd.; Chairman of Qarshi Research International; Chairman of Qarshi Foundation Trust. Later on, he has taken over as the first Chairman, Board of Governors for Qarshi University.

 Mr. Qarshi also holds a number of honorary positions: President of Pharmacy and Therepeutic committee(PTC) and World Wide Founaion(WWFP) Chairman of Message Foundation Member of BoG for Fatima Memorial Health System, CAA, WWF, Chand Bagh Foundation Mr. Qarshi has also published a number of books and pamphlets: Matibb-e-Qarshi; Kitab-ul-Sehat; Kitab-ulHajj; Karawan-e-Shouk; Medicinal Plants of QHC; Biotechnology in Developing Countries; Pests & Diseases of Qarshi Garden; and Kitchen Spices & Herbs

 Mr. Qarshi is also the Editor-in-Chief of Qaumi Sehat [National Health], a fortnightly magazine of Qarshi Industries (Pvt) Ltd that is being published for the last 41 years. That small organization which became its journey in 1968 as Qarshi Dawakhana is today one of the largest producers of herbal medicines in Pakistan and also owns nationally and internationally famed FMCG brands like 'Jam e Shirin' and 'Johar Joshanda'.

 With the amazing entrepreneurial success, Mr. Iqbal Qarshi also worked on philanthropy to give back to society and help those in need. He founded Qarshi Foundation in 1994. Mr. Iqbal Qarshi is also President for World Wide Fund for Nature, Pakistan (WWF-P).
