Aaron Arulappu
Arsenic
Found in manure releases Toxic air emission
Copper
Found in manure
Arsenic is know to increase a persons risk of cancer, and develop respiratory problems
Zinc
Found in manure
Cows that where fed chicken litter where killed from the high levels of copper found in the feces of the chickens.
Zinc and Iron that were also found in the waste water contained higher levels of both arsenic and copper.
Iron
Found in manure
Farmers are adding addictive's into the chicken diet some addictive's which contains arsenic, copper, iron, and zinc. (Addictive may depend on farmer) Hormones being injected in chickens, which include estrogen, progesterone, and testosterone Estrogen are used for female chicken, and mainly used to increase growth, and strength of bones. Progesterone are used on female chickens to maintain pregnancy Testosterone are used in male chickens and mainly used to increase reproductive growth, and bone and muscle strength
By adding addictive's farmers believe that pesticides and diseases will be prevented Farmers add hormones into chickens so that chickens can grow bigger, produce more offspring's and taste better.
What farmers dont know is that the chemicals that are injected or given to the chicken come out twice as dangerous and toxic. Zinc and Iron are twice as much the given dose.
Many cows that have been fed chicken litter have died of copper poisoning
Toxins from arsenic can be emitted into the air causing elevated risk of cancer, and repertory problems
Workplace hazardous, touching the litter without any protection can cause serious damage to health and skin.
Other Facts
Hormones, chemicals, and drugs have been used on chicken since the 1950s. 1999, Maryland was the first state in the US to ban the use of arsenic in chicken diet. Adding hormones to chicken can not only effect the chicken but also effect us, for example early puberty in children, breast, prostate, and other cancer, and it also effects our body in ways that its incapable to fight bacterial infections There are also synthetic hormones such as Trenbolone Acetate and Zeranol, which have also been added to chickens, they both act as steroids Other chemicals that are added include Monosodium Glutamate, Sodium Erythorbate, Trisodium Phosphate, Roxarsone, Salt.
