Motivation
For most fields of study, motivation is essential to

success. We have to want to do something to succeed at it. Motivation is some kind of internal drive that pushes someone to do things in order to achieve something.
The strength of that motivation depends on how much

value the individual places on the result he or she wants to achieve.

Types of motivation
Extrinsic motivation
It comes from outside factors, e.g. the need to pass an

exam, the hope of financial rewards, or the possibility for future travel. Intrinsic motivation comes from inside the individual. A person might be motivated by the enjoyment of the learning process itself or the desire to make themselves feel better.

Sources of motivation
The motivation that brings the students to the task of learning English

can be affected and influenced by the attitude of a number of people.

The society we live in
