Gods Purpose For Healing Was Not Just To Relieve Human Suffering, But To Provide The Healed Person With A Complete Body

Mat. 7:32-37 And They Bring Unto Him One That Was Deaf, And Had An Impediment In His Speech; And They Beseech Him To Put His Hand Upon Him.

33 And He Took Him Aside From The Multitude, And Put His Fingers Into His Ears, And He Spit, And Touched His Tongue;

34 And Looking Up To Heaven, He Sighed, And Saith Unto Him, Ephphatha, That Is, Be Opened.

35 And Straightway His Ears Were Opened, And The String Of His Tongue Was Loosed, And He Spake Plain.

36 And He Charged Them That They Should Tell No Man: But The More He Charged Them, So Much The More A Great Deal They Published It;

37 And Were Beyond Measure Astonished, Saying, He Hath Done All Things Well: He Maketh Both The Deaf To Hear, And The Dumb To Speak.

Point 1 A Lost Person Is Like A Deaf And Mute Person.

The Lost Can Not Hear The Voice Of God. The Mute Can Not Speak For Gods Glory.

Mat. 13:13 Therefore Speak I To Them In Parables: Because They Seeing See Not; And Hearing They Hear Not, Neither Do They Understand.

II Cor 2:4 But The Natural Man Receiveth Not The Things Of The Spirit Of God: For They Are Foolishness Unto Him: Neither Can He Know Them, Because They Are Spiritually Discerned.

What God Is Looking For Are People With A Live Spirit.

John 4:24 God Is A Spirit: And They That Worship Him Must Worship Him In Spirit And In Truth.

The Saved Man Has The Privilege Of Hearing God

Rom. 8:16 The Spirit Itself Beareth Witness With Our Spirit, That We Are The Children Of God:

Point 2: The Power Of God Is Personal.

Eze. 36:28 And Ye Shall Dwell In The Land That I Gave To Your Fathers; And Ye Shall Be My People, And I Will Be Your God.

John 4:10 Jesus Answered And Said Unto Her, If Thou Knewest The Gift Of God, And Who It Is That Saith To Thee, Give Me To Drink; Thou Wouldest Have Asked Of Him, And He Would Have Given Thee Living Water.

In The Creation The Power Of God Said, Let There Be Light.

In This Case The Power Of God Said, Let There Be Open.

John 10:27 My Sheep Hear My Voice, And I Know Them, And They Follow Me

Proverbs 20:12 The Hearing Ear, And The Seeing Eye, The Lord Hath Made Even Both Of Them

Rev 2:7 He That Hath An Ear, Let Him Hear What The Spirit Saith Unto The Churches;

Point 3: The Power Of God Makes Things Right.

Vs. 35 And Straightway His Ears Were Opened, And The String Of His Tongue Was Loosed, And He Spake Plain.

II Cor. 5:17 Therefore If Any Man Be In Christ, He Is A New Creature: Old Things Are Passed Away; Behold, All Things Are Become New.

So The Saved Person Can Honor And Serve The Lord.

When God Opens Our Ears To His Word He Also Opens Our Mouth So We Can Speak For Him.

Acts 8: 20 And Straightway He Preached Christ In The Synagogues, That He Is The Son Of God.

Eph 6:19-20 And For Me, That Utterance May Be Given Unto Me, That I May Open My Mouth Boldly, To Make Known The Mystery Of The Gospel,

20 For Which I Am An Ambassador In Bonds: That Therein I May Speak Boldly, As I Ought To Speak.

This Is Why When You Get Saved You Should Tell Others About What God Has Done For You.

Mk. 16:15 Go Ye Into All The World. Acts 1:8 Ye Shall Be My Witnesses Unto Jerusalem

Point 4: The Power Of God In Your Life Will Cause A Reaction In Others.

Vs. 37 And Were Beyond Measure Astonished

Acts 4:13 Now When They Saw The Boldness Of Peter And John, And Perceived That They Were Unlearned And Ignorant Men, They Marvelled; And They Took Knowledge Of Them, That They Had Been With Jesus.

When God Does His Work In The Heart Of A Man, The World Should Look And Say, He Hath Done All Things Well: He Maketh Both The Deaf To Hear, And The Dumb To Speak.

Another Benefit Of Gods Power To Hear And To Speak Is That Gods Abilities Are Known By Others.

Vs. 36 And He Charged Them That They Should Tell No Man: But The More He Charged Them, So Much The More A Great Deal They Published It;
