Identify a story book you could se to develop a drama performance. Why is the book is suitable. What are the benefits of such activities? Using the same book, create 3 language focused activities OR worksheets.

storyline is simple and easy to understand. not contain too much of conflicts which might confuse the students. storyline with different characters which might capture the students attention. use of simple and comprehensible words.

Contains several characters such as : Jack ( Hero / main character ) Jacks mother Cow Strange little man Giant and his wife Students can take upon these characters during the drama performance. Gives a chance for the students to experience different roles.

The illustrations

Contains lots of illustration throughout the story. Colourful and big illustrations on every pages in the story book. The illustrations can be used to come up with the props for the drama performance. Eg : Jack, Giant, Beanstalk, Mother, and cow.

and sweet for students from any ages.

story can be easily adapted into a drama script because : story is not lengthy. The usage of the words are simple and comprehensible. Some of the unwanted scenes can be deleted and it does not ruin the storyline.

the students to the elements involved in a drama performance. Eg : Preparations, Costumes, Script, Sound effects, props and etc. the students interpersonal communication skills. the confidence among the students. an opportunity for the students to portray their hidden talent.
