A STUDY ON CUSTOMERS OPINION TOWARDS ADVERTISING WITH SPECIAL REFERENCE TO GEMPLAST INDUSTRIES LTD

PROBLEM DEFINITION
Need to doing the study on customers opinion towards advertising with special reference to GEMPLAST

Industries Ltd is whether the Advertising campaign was


successful or not, the awareness level of products, the advertising campaign increased the customer base or not and which media carry the advertisement successfully.

COMPANY PROFILE
Gemini Plastic Industries was established by Late C. Govindan,

a noted industrialist and businessman in Thalassery. It was the blooming of a dream by a great entrepreneur and visionary

called C. Govindan. Thus, a SSI Unit was set up at Thalassery


in 1987 with latest Windsor injection moulding machines, state

of the art infrastructure and technicians to manufacture quality


plastic household articles.

In recognition of his spirit and excellence in entrepreneurship, C.

Govindan was conferred many awards the Udyogpathra Award by the Institute of Industrial Development, New Delhi and Pride of India Award by Global Economic Council, to name a few.

Growth through innovation and customer satisfaction is the

prime drive of this private Ltd firm. The firm is situated in


industrial Estate. Palayad, Thalassery. K Ramesh kumar is the

managing partner of the firm and Sri. Sreenivasan is the


manager.

Gemni plastic industry is engaged in the production of 59

different plastic items and it is marked with the trade name GEMPLAST. The firm itself handles production and marketing of Gemplast. The trade mark of this company is A BABY IN A BUCKET.
The firm started with an initial investment of Rs.25Lacks. in

which the whole amount was taken as a long term loan from state bank of India.

OBJECTIVES OF THE FIRM


PRIMARY OBJECTIVE Growth through innovation and customer satisfaction are the main objective Gemplast.

SECONDARY OBJECTIVE
To produce goods and services in correct time to meet the customers

needs.
To obtain maximum sales at a minimum sales. To give more durability to products. To provide attractive colors for the products. To create good working atmosphere in the firm. To provide the storage facility.

To provide more reliability. To purchase raw materials at bulk quantities and produce goods

and services at undesirable quantity.


Produce goods and services at lowest possible price.

Improving system, produce and implementing total quantity

management in all activities.


To achieve market leadership not only in south India but also

throughout India.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY


The study will attempt to find out the advantages level of

products.
The study can help to find out whether the advertisement is

reached the target audience.


The advertiser can identify the gap of improvement themselves. The study can find out whether the advertisement was

educating the customer in right way or not.

The research design is the blueprint for the fulfillment of

objectives and answering questions. It is a master plan


specifying the method and procedures for collecting and analyzing needed information.
