company. Offers different styles of pizza along with side dishes including salad, pasta, buffalo wings, breadsticks, and garlic bread. As of 2012, there were more than 6,000 Pizza Hut restaurants in the United States, and more than 5,139 store locations in 94 other countries and territories around the world.

Opened its first vegetarian restaurant in Ahmadabad, Gujarat, a state with a large Jain population. It served no meat and also offered a selection of Jain toppings. The root based pizzas do not contain onion and garlic and instead of garlic bread, special Jain bread is served. Currently, there are 3 pure vegetarian Pizza Huts in Ahmedabad, Surat

and Mumbai Chowpatty.

Launched the "Great Indian Treat" product range, its first completely localized menu.

Customizes international flavours to suit local preferences.


20% of the overall menu is localized. World over, the toppings at Pizza Hut are mainly beef and pepperoni. But in India, where up to 60% of the people are estimated to be

vegetarian, they have more variety in vegetarian toppings.

Pizza (singles) at just Rs 44 is amongst the lowest in the world. Advertising strategy lays emphasis on family values and highlights that

In India, eating out has evolved as a form of entertainment. Pizza Hut staff members dance to disco tunes in Mumbai and do bhangra in Amritsar.

Along with young adults, families with young children are also
recognized as an integral segment of the target audience. Its promotion of Hot on the Dot promise is a reflective of Indians

preferring hot and fresh food.

Pizza hut serves traditional Chinese toppings like sangria & escargot and tuna. In Germany, white asparagus is popular in summer. An Asparagus lovers pizza (with hollandaise sauce in lieu of

tomato) is a seasonal product.

In Israel, Pizza Hut restaurants are kosher in order to accommodate popular religious dietary laws.

In Malaysia, all Pizza Hut restaurants are halal in order to accommodate the religious requirements of the large Muslim community. Toppings that reflect the country's cuisine include Satay, a Malaysian form of spiced meat similar to a Shish kebab.

In Pakistan, locally-influenced products aim the taste buds of the Pakistani market. Pizza Hut also offers annually an "All

you can eat" in the month of Ramadan.
