1. Malaysias first open and distance learning university. 2. It caters to working adults who need to manage their careers, families and higher studies all at the same time. 3. OUMs motto is "University for All, consistent with its philosophy of democratising education. 4. The University leverages on the quality, prestige and capabilities of its strategic partners. 5. OUM believes education should be made available to all, regardless of age, location and socio-economic background. 6. The MQA Rating System for Higher Education Institutions in Malaysia for 2011 (SETARA 11) has rated OUM as a Tier 5 (Excellence) institution.

Flexible Entry is an alternative pathway for individuals to obtain a degree at Open University Malaysia (OUM) through less stringent entry requirements. It provides working adults the opportunity to leverage on prior learning and work experience to gain admission into OUM Undergraduate or Postgraduate level programmes.

The OUMs Flexible Entry is recognised by the Malaysian Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE) and the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) under the Open Entry System introduced in 2006. Website: http://oum.edu.my/oum/capl/

FLEXIBLE ENTRY PROCESS


Step 1: Prepare yourself by knowing what and how you will be assessed at the Applicants menu. Step 2: Whenever you are ready, make an appointment at any OUM Learning Centres to take the Flexible Entry Test

Step 3: Upon successful completion of the test, you can register for the degree programme of your choice

Degree Part A: TEN (10) questions on English Language Part B: TEN (10) questions on Mathematics Part C: TEN (10) questions on General Knowledge & Critical Thinking Part D: Aptitude Test Masters Degree 30 (Thirty) Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs), 1 1/2 Hours

Bachelors Degree 21 years old on 1 January 2013 Minimum PMR / SRP / LCE or equivalent Possess relevant work experience

Masters Degree 35 years old on 1 January 2013 Minimum STPM (1 principal), recognised Diploma / A-levels or equivalent Possess relevant work experience
