Introduction
A large-capacity gateway device of carrier class. Supports interworking between different bearer network. Provides conversion function between different traffic flow formats. Serve as Trunk Gateway (TG). Access Gateway (AG) in NGN network. Supports embedded Signaling Gateway (SG) function simultaneously. Can act as NGN providing all services of PSTN.

NGN Switch
The traditional PSTN is narrow-band TDM circuit-switch network. NGN implements the traditional switching functions in U-SYS solution UMG8900 implements the user access and switch function. UMG8900 provides C5 end office applications Acts as trunk tandem device, gateway exchange and tandem exchange. Provides smooth transition of PSTN to NGN being compatible with the current TDM.

TG Application of NGN
UMG8900 applied in NGN, acts as a large-capacity TG device. implements IP phone function in traditional PSTN. Manages media flow exchange between PSTN network and packet network supporting voice and data.

AG Application of NGN User frame of UMG8900, can access PSTN user directly User frame is connected with central switching frame through TDM trunk cables or fibers. The upstream interface can be packet interface (IP,ATM,TDM). user signalling is transparently transferred to the SoftSwitc.

MGW Application of 3G Network
UMG8900 can be applied in the Circuit-switched (CS) domain. UMG8900 can be oriented as end office device of wireless network and gateway exchange device. Implements interworking with IP Multimedia (IM) domain and PSTN network in 3G R5 system.
