Nourish beginnings, let us nourish beginnings. Not all things are blest, but the seeds of all things are blest.
A MOMENT OF APPRECIATION
THOSE WHO CREATED THIS OPPORTUNITY.
Encourage you to eat your seeds (provided they are organic) Share information about nutritional content of seeds. Share what is unique and astonishing about SOUL. Remind you that SOUL does not treat diseases. Encourage you to think like a gardener.
The seed is a household object but at the same time it is a revolutionary symbol.
Al Weiwei
Organic Beekeeper, Farmer, Father, Husband, Doctor and Patient & Health Advocate (teaching & empowering). The word doctor derives from the Latin meaning to lead or teach.
WARNINGS Keep out of reach of children under 6 yrs age. If more than used for brushing is accidentally swallowed, get medical help or contact a Poison Control center right away.

These RNA nutrient messages tell the DNA in every cell what to do, how to adapt and what to express genetically.
Genetics 101
RNA - sends messages to DNA instructing the cells to optimize function and adapt to stressors. Q: Where is RNA concentrated in plants? A: In the seed.
What is a seed?
Treasure chest (30 fold more nutrients than the plant) Embryo, time capsule Protected from destruction by bitter shells Shell = condensation of polymannose (nutrient dense) Seed is on a mission to reproduce Persistent and Resilient: The Seed Finds a Way.
The seed has condensed polymannose (glucose polymers) which not only enhances absorption but also amplifies CD-14 which triggers adult stem cells development. This is similar to sending in the architect, the general contractor and the skilled craftsmen. (BSW in press)

Studies have found that grape seed extracts may prevent the growth of breast, stomach, colon, prostate, and lung cancer cells in test tubes. However, there is no clear evidence yet whether it works in humans. Antioxidants, such as those found in grape seed extract, are thought to reduce the risk of developing cancer. Grape seed extract may also help prevent damage to human liver cells caused by chemotherapy medications

Studies reported the effects of polyphenols but not for grape polyphenols towards obesity. We analyzed the effects of a polyphenolic grape seed extract (GSE) on obesity and oxidative stress in hamsters receiving a high-fat diet (HFD). .This is the first time that chronic consumption of grape phenolics is shown to reduce obesity development and related metabolic pathways including adipokine secretion and oxidative stress

Thymoquinone (TQ), the most abundant constituent present in black seed, is a promising dietary chemopreventive agent. We report that TQ inhibits the growth of colon cancer cells which was correlated with G1 phase arrest of the cell cycle.
These results indicate that TQ is antineoplastic and pro-apoptotic against colon cancer cell line
Our data support the potential for using the agent TQ for the treatment of colon cancer.
It has been shown that Nigella sativa L. (NS) and reduced glutathione (GSH) have both an antiperoxidative effect on different tissues and a scavenger effect on ROS.
These results clearly show that NS and GSH treatment significantly antagonize the effects of radiation. Therefore, NS and GSH may be a beneficial agent in protection against ionizing radiation-related tissue injury..
In vivo radioprotective effects of Nigella sativa L oil and reduced glutathione against irradiation-induced oxidative injury and number of peripheral blood lymphocytes in rats. Cemek, M; Photochem Photobiol. 2006 Nov-Dec 82(6):1691-6.
The findings show, for the first time, that N. sativa administration exerts potent inhibitory effects on rat tumor development and on cellular proliferation in multiple organ sites. In particular, the ability to significantly inhibit murine colon, lung, esophageal and forestomach tumors was demonstrated in the post-initiation phase, with no evidence of clinical side effects. The mechanisms are likely to be related to suppression of cell proliferation.
Cancer chemopreventive potential of volatile oil from black cumin seeds, Nigella sativa L., in a rat multi-organ carcinogenesis bioassay. Salim EI; Oncol Lett. 2010 Sep;1(5):913-924. Epub 2010 Sep 1.
Thymoquinone (TQ) is the bioactive constituent of the volatile oil of black cumin seed. It has been shown to exert anti-neoplastic and anti-inflammatory effects.
The combination of TQ with clinically used anti-cancer drugs has led to improvements in their therapeutic index and prevents non-tumor tissues from sustaining chemotherapy-induced damage.
Thymoquinone: a promising anti-cancer drug from natural sources. Gali-Muhtasib, H; Int J Biochem Cell Biol. 2006;38(8):1249-53.
Nigella sativa or black seed extract has been reported to show various medicinal benefits. Thymoquinone which is an active compound of its seed has been reported to contain anti-cancer properties.
In general thymoquinone showed sustained inhibition of breast cancer cell proliferation with long-term treatment. Specificity of phase arrest was determined by thymoquinone dose.
Cellular responses with thymoquinone treatment in human breast cancer cell line MCF-7. Motaghed, M; Pharmacognosy Research 2013 Jul;5(3):200-6.
Thymoquinone (TQ), the predominant bioactive constituent derived from the medicinal spice Nigella sativa (also known as black cumin), has been applied for medical purposes for more than 2,000 years. Recent studies reported that thymoquinone exhibited inhibitory effects on the cell proliferation of several cancer cell lines. Thymoquinone effectively inhibits tumor growth and angiogenesis both in vitro and in vivo. Moreover, inhibition of NF-B and downstream effector molecules is a possible underlying mechanism of the antitumor and anti-angiogenic activity of thymoquinone in osteosarcoma.
Antitumor and anti-angiogenesis effects of thymoquinone on osteosarcoma through the NF-B pathway. Lei Peng; An Liu. Oncol Rep. 2013 Feb ;29(2):571-8.
Thymoquinones anti-oxidant/anti-inflammatory effect has been reported in various disease models, including encephalomyelitis, diabetes, asthma and carcinogenesis. The anticancer effect(s) of thymoquinone are mediated through different modes of action, including anti-proliferation, apoptosis induction, cell cycle arrest, ROS generation and anti-metastasis/antiangiogenesis. In addition, this quinone was found to exhibit anticancer activityIn this review, we summarize its possible role in the treatment of inflammatory diseases and cancer.

NS has neuro-protective, nephro-protective, lung protective, cardioprotective hepato-protective activities as established by previous studies on animals. The current study demonstrates the role of NS in enhancing memory, attention and cognition. Therefore, whether NS could be considered as potential food supplement for preventing or slow progressing of Alzheimer disease needs further investigations.

Resveratrol
The use of Polygonatum verticillatum in the treatment of diabetes was first observed in 1930 by Hedwig Langecker. Benefit probably due to its glucokinin content. P. verticillatum is used in Ayurveda as an aphrodisiac. It is also used to treat pain, fever, inflammation, allergy, and weakness.

Pterostilbene is a stilbenoid chemically related to resveratrol and is found in blueberries and grapes. It belongs to the group of phytoalexins, agents produced by plants to fight infections. Based on animal studies it is thought to exhibit anti-cancer, anti-hypercholesterolemia, antihypertriglyceridemia properties, as well as the ability to fight off and reverse cognitive decline.

What is a drug?
The Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act defines a drug as
1) a substance recognized in an official pharmacopoeia or formulary; 2) a substance intended for use in the diagnosis, cure, mitigation, treatment, or prevention of disease; 3) a substance other than food intended to affect the structure or function of the body;
Some dietary supplements have been shown to be beneficial for certain health conditions. For example, the use of folic acid supplements by women of childbearing age who may become pregnant reduces the risk of some birth defects.

Inflammation clearly occurs in pathologically vulnerable regions of the Alzheimer's disease (AD) brain, and it does so with the full complexity of local peripheral inflammatory responses. In the periphery, degenerating tissue and the deposition of highly insoluble abnormal materials are classical stimulants of inflammation. By better understanding AD inflammatory and immuno-regulatory processes, it should be possible to develop anti-inflammatory approaches that may not cure AD but will likely help slow the progression or delay the onset of this devastating disorder.
Anti-Inflammatory Agents
Goal: To interrupt the IL-8 cytokine SOS and allow differentiation of cancer stem cells 1) Reprotaxin -CXCR1 receptor blocker- (per Dr. Max Wicha) 2) Aspirin 3) Common ones: Tumeric, Vitamin D3, Carotenoids, Propolis, 4) Black Cumin Seed 5) Black Raspberry Seed 6) Chardonnay Grape Seed
