TITLE: COUNTING IN TENS (10, 20, 30, 40, 50) LOCATION : Tabika Kemas Proton City RESPONDENTS : 5 CHILDREN (AGE 4-6 YEARS OLD)

BEFORE -explain & demonstrate the song & movement

DURING -singing and dance together -volunteer students conduct the activities

AFTER -give star for volunteers

REFLECTION FOR INDUCTION SET


ADVANTAGES T & L done in separated room, free from obstruction. Activities involving movements well liked by children. Reward books motivate children to participa more actively DISADVANTAGES Teacher was not confident in singing Not using the class space effectively IMPROVEMENTS Teacher need to be more confident in singing so that it becomes more fun for the children Using space more effectively so that the children can move more comfortably

CUBE (FIRST STEP)


BEFORE
Explain what to do with the cube. Give one block of cube each.

DURING
Count the cube in the block. Put block and number in row to see an increasing. Count during put the block in the row.

AFTER
Children understand how to count by 10

REFLECTION
ADVANTAGES
Use teaching aids to attract children. Give reward after activity to encourage the children

DISADVANTAG ES
Space for the class is not suitable Lack of teacher preparation Cant control class very well

IMPROVEMENT
Must have more practice Learn how to handle the children

SECOND STEP

BEFORE
explaining how to playing the ice cream sticks games

DURING
counting each sticks and put the ice cream into bundle of ten counting the bundle based on the order given.

AFTER
children know the concepts that each bundle represent 10 ice cream sticks

REFLECTION FOR SECOND STEP


ADVANTAGES Children looks eager to play and learn The teaching aids was easy things but practical for counting activity. Children fully pay attention to the teacher. DISADVANTAGES Teacher was not confident Teacher cant controlled the class well. Children are quite noisy. IMPROVEMENTS Teacher need to be more confident and strict. Teacher should controlled the class well.

MARSHMALLOW (STEP 3)
BEFORE
explaining how to playing the marshmallow games.

DURING
counting each marshmallow and put marshmallow into plastic of ten. children put back the group of marshmallow into the plate and count until fifty.

AFTER
Children understanding the concepts of grouping the items into group of ten.

REFLECTION
ADVANTAGES
Teacher use the abm that attract children attention Children fully pay attention to the teacher. Children follow the instruction

DISADVANTAGES
Class space not comfortable

IMPROVEMENTS
Choose space that more comfortable Teacher also involved in activity
