YOUTHS PERCEPTION ON POLITICS OF PAKISTAN

Introduction
The word democracy is derived from two Greek words (demos = the people; kratein = to rule) which literally mean "rule by the people. The term democracy first appeared in ancient Greek political and philosophical thought. The philosopher Plato contrasted democracy, the system of "rule by the governed", A dictatorship is defined as an autocratic form of government in which the government is ruled by an individual, the dictator, without hereditary ascension.

Why democracy preferred over dictatorship

It is believed, and widely accepted, that democracy is a sign of a developed nation, where the power rests with the people. While dictatorship is a sign of a weak nation, where the people do not possess the right or the freedom to have what they deserve or desire.

Methodology
TARGET POPULATION: The target population is the entire group a researcher is interested in; the group about which the researcher wishes to draw conclusions. For the purpose of our research on the topic of Youths perception on politics of Pakistan, we will take the target population in the age bracket of 20-31 years.

SAMPLE SIZE: 100 individuals for the simple questionnaire.

Measure The questionnaire consisted to two types of questions. One, where they had to choose between democracy and dictatorship. The other where they had to, express their opinion, what has been better for Pakistan(democracy or dictatorship.) Procedure We gave a consent form to the participants which included the right to take part in the research, keeping in view the ethical issues of research. The questionnaire was tick mark based and on the basis of the results obtained through the questionnaire we took the percentages out for each question.

What is democracy? A. A government(ruling body) chosen by the people, for the people, from the people B. Mobocracy [political control by a mob (a disorderly or riotous crowd of people.)

Conclusion
Our research clearly indicates that the youth of Pakistan is in support for dictatorship. Even though almost everywhere around the world democracy is and has been promoted. Nations have succeeded in democratic rule. This is the result of poor governance and implementations of policies in democratic rule. Actions and way of governance has changed the minds of youth of Pakistan that 90% are in support for dictatorship that is a rule by one unrestricted by a constitution or law. Marshall Law is declared when people's government fails to control the country or simply when there is panic with the people of country and considered as a disgrace for any nation but as you can see in question#8 we asked people that Do you think marshal law brings a bad impression to the country's name? Almost 50% people believe opposite to the general world impression. Results also show that 70% of people have experienced more stress in democratic rule. Seems strange that people are feeling more comfortable in Marshall Law which use to be declared during times of disaster or great danger. Question 14 results concluded that youth is in love with dictatorship almost 90% results shows that people feel more income and life security in dictatorship.
