Says in One year due to tobacco:-
Respiratory disease -225 lakh
Heart Disease - 60 lakh
Artery Disease - 40 lakh
Stroke - 5 lakh
Cancer 5 lakh
Other Disease -15 lakh

Tobacco causes diseases in almost all parts of the body

Heart Attack is caused by Tar in tobacco causing damage
to the blood vessels of the heart

Stroke is caused by Tar in tobacco causing damage to the
blood vessels of the brain

1.Smoking in public places is banned . Penalty is a fine of Rs.200/-
2. Sale of tobacco products to a person below the age of 18 is
prohibited. Penalty is fine upto Rs.200/-
3.Manufacture and sale of Cigarettes and tobacco products without
pictorial depiction of skull and cross bones , and contents of
nicotine and tar is an offence punishable , with fine upto Rs.5000/-
and or imprisonment for a period upto 2 years.
4.Direct or indirect advertisement of cigarettes and tobacco products
is an offence for which the advertiser as well as the media is
punishable Penalty is fine upto Rs.1000/- and or imprisonment for a
period upto 2 years
