Standard Periodical Examinations
Periodical Examinations
There are four periodical examinations in a term: prelim,
midterm, pre-final and final.

Schedule
The examination schedules are announced at least two (2)
weeks before the actual examinations.

To be accomplished:
Clearance, Statement of Account indicate students

Promissory Note
Ask Permit to the Registrar
No Permit No Exam
Special Examinations
1. Secure an application for special examination form from the
registrars office.
2. Fill out the form and present it to the faculty member concerned,
together with your letter of excuse, for approval immediately
upon return to school.
3. Pay the required fees to the cashier. (P50/subject).
4. Present official receipt, accomplished application for special
examination form, and approved letter of excuse to the Registrars
Office for stamping.
5. Secure your copy of the application for Special examination form
with the official
6. Submit the accomplished form to the faculty member concerned
not later than 7 days before the next periodical examination for
scheduling.
7. Take the special examination as scheduled.

Examination Booklets
Official STI examination booklets will be used for
all major examinations unless otherwise
specified by the faculty member concerned.

Change of Subjects or Schedules
Procedure:
1. Accomplish the change in matriculation form.
2. Seek your adviser's endorsement on the appropriate
course or schedule change.
3. Seek the approval of your Program Head.
4. Submit the change in matriculation form to the
registrar's office for re-assessment.
5. Pay the fees to or collect refunds from the cashier, if
any.
6. Obtain a copy of the form with the official stamp by
presenting the official receipt to the Registrar's Office.
Dropping of Courses
Dropping occurs after the official registration of
the student.
Student are allowed to drop or withdraw from a
course(s), without being given a failing grade,
until a week before the midterm examination.
The transcript will contain a grade of DRP: for
the course, earning the student no credit(s).
Withdrawal takes place when a student drops all
of the courses enrolled for the term.
Dropping of Courses
Procedure:
1. Secure a dropping slip from the registrars
office.
2. Fill out the dropping slip and submit the
completed form to the Registrars Office.
3. Pay the processing fee to the cashier.
4. Obtain a copy of the form with the official
stamp by presenting the official receipt to
the Registrars Office.
Leave of Absence (LOA)
A student is expected to enroll in each term until
he/she completes the program or is dropped from
the roll of the school. A student who plans to
temporarily discontinue his/her studies must
formally file in writing for official leave of absence
with the Registrar's Office before the end of the term
wherein the leave applies.
The maximum leave period that may be applied for in a
single application is one (1) academic year. However,
the total duration of all leaves taken must not exceed
the length of the program.
Leave of Absence (LOA)
Procedure:
1. Secure an application for Leave of Absence
form from the Registrars Office.
2. Fill out the form and have it endorsed by the
Dean or Academic Head.
3. Submit the form to the Registrars office to
have it officially stamped.
Fees and Payments
Payment Scheme
Payments may be made in cash or in
installment
Installment may pay in installment. Installment
payments are broken down as follows.

Refund of Payment
To be entitled to a refund, student should
drop/change courses/withdraw and file in
writing, addressed to their respective School
Administrator/Deputy School Administrators,
not later than the 14
th
calendar day from the
start of classes.
Charges shall be applies regardless of whether
the students have actually attended classes
are not.

Temporary Reprieve from Financial
Accountabilities
Student, who are unable to ay according to schedule due to non-
availability of funds, shall be required to file for temporary
reprieve from financial accountabilities.
Procedure:
1. Secure a promissory note from the Registrars Office.
2. Have the note signed by your parents or official guardian.
3. Submit the note to the Registrars office and have it
approved.
4. Secure your copy of the approved not with the official stamp
from the Registrars office.
Scholarship and Grants-in-Aid
ENTRANCE SCHOLARSHIP
The tuition discounts given to an academic
scholar on his/her first term of enrollment at
STI:
Valedictorian 100% Discount on tuition fee
Salutatorian 50% Discount on tuition fee
Honorable Mention 25% Discount on tuition fee
Scholarship and Grants-in-Aid
Merit scholarship
Awarded to entrance scholars after their first
term of attendance if they maintain a G.W.A of
1.5 of higher
