Legal Medicine

A branch of Medicine which deals with the application
of medical knowledge to the purposes of law and
justice.
It is the application of basic and clinical knowledge in
both medical and paramedical sciences to elucidate
legal matters
Forensic Medicine use of medical science to
elucidate legal problems
Medical Jurisprudence

A branch of Law which deals with-
The organization and regulation of the medical
profession
The contractual obligation existing between the medical
practitioner and his patient
The duties imposed on the medical practitioner by the
State

The science and art of diagnosing, treating, curing and
preventing disease, relieving pain and improving the
health of a person.

LAW
A rule of conduct, just, obligatory, laid by legitimate
power for common observance and benefit.
Includes regulations and circulars which are issued to
implement a law and have the effect of law.
