actitud
Think of your attitude as the mental filter through which you
experience the world. Some people see the world through the
filter of optimism (the glass being half full) while others see life
through a filter of pessimism (the glass being half empty).
What we know determines our philosophy. How we feel about
what we know determines our attitude.
It is our emotional nature that governs most of our daily conduct
in our personal and business worlds. It is the emotional aspect of
our experiences that determines our behavior.
The feelings we carry within us about people, our work, our
homes, our finances, and about the world around us
collectively form our attitude.
actitud
With the right attitude human beings can move mountains.
With the wrong attitude they can be crushed by the smallest
grain of sand.
Having the right attitude is an essential prerequisite for
success and happiness.

actitud
¿QUÉ ES UNA ACTITUD?
Es nuestra mejor amiga o nuestra peor enemiga. Es algo que atrae o repele
a la gente de nosotros. Nuestra actitud determina nuestra relación con la
gente.
vives. ¿Cómo ves tú vida? ¿Difícil, alegre, fácil, complicada, llena de
problemas, llena de oportunidades?.
The words you consistently select will shape your destiny. —Anthony Robbins
“Our ultimate freedom is the right and power to decide how anybody or
anything outside ourselves will affect us.” --Stephen Covey
trabajo.
Administración del
tiempo
Numbered Priority Tactic Is the most powerful techniques that you can use to
manage your time efficiently – the Numbered Priority Tactic.
Buy a very small notebook that you can put in your pocket. You should be able to
bring it anywhere you go. At the front page of the notebook, put the title:
Important and Urgent. At the back page, put the title: Important but Not
Urgent. If an idea or event you encounter is Urgent but Not Important, then
forget it. You want to utilize your time well, won’t you? If you think it’s significant in
some way, then you may put it under Important and Urgent. Ignore Not
Important and Not Urgent tasks.
Administración del
tiempo
Every time something comes up during your daily work or on your mind, put it in
the appropriate page of your little notebook.
As the day goes on, write down each and every idea, thought, or event that comes
to your mind. As the list increases in each category, examine each of them
carefully and start numbering each item in the order of priority - with 1 being the
highest priority. Start working on Number 1, and never go to Number 2 until you’re
done with Number 1 for each category. If distractions come about, you may take
care of them first but always come back to your numbered list when you’re done.
Because priorities may change, you may switch or change the numbers of the
items in the list. You may also transfer one item from Important and Urgent to
Important but Not Urgent, and vice-versa. When you do any changes, make
sure your notebook stays clean. Transfer your writings to a new page when you
see that it’s getting untidy. Start off with a new page every day.

Emails
Written below are some great tips to make emails work for you in your pursuit to
manage time efficiently.
3. Reply briefly. Answer your emails clearly and to the point. Don’t
overcomplicate the explanation. Never reply to spam messages or to junk mails.
Administración del
tiempo
4. Take the phone. Several minutes spent in replying to emails can be shortened
tremendously by just calling the person. You’ll get faster responses and you’ll end
up saving lots of time. And of course, the personal touch is priceless.
5. Terminate spam. Spam messages are very prevalent nowadays. Not only can
they waste a lot of your time, but they can be very annoying as well. To prevent
spam, don’t spread your email address like wildfire. It would be advisable to have
a private email address that only a few trusted people know. If you can, make your
email address more intricate. For example, use mark_jones27543@yahoo.com
instead of mark_jones@yahoo.com. If you’re inserting your email address in
websites and messages, you may replace @ with “AT.” For instance, write down
mark_jonesAtyahoo.com instead of mark_jones@yahoo.com.
6. Get your email across. Sometimes, your email could mistakenly be regarded
as spam, and this would waste your time in composing that message. To prevent
such occurrence, be careful with your choice of words. Avoid words or phrases
that trigger the spam filters. Some words to avoid: free, money, sex, amazing,
limited offer, naked, opportunity, debt, loans, lottery, retire, urgent

capacidad de recuperarte rápidamente, sin
importar los retos u obstáculos que encuentres

el éxito.
Agregar valor
There are five different ways to add value:
Identify a problem that others have not yet
identified. Identifying a problem should never sound
like criticizing and complaining. Try being a
‘cheerful problem spotter’ by always proposing at
least one solution to every problem you identify.
Solve a problem that others have not yet solved.
Invent a brand new service or product.
Improve an existing service or product.
Deliver an existing service or product in a timely,
competent manner.
Agregar valor
Here is a seven-step plan for selling your added
value to any decision maker, anytime, anywhere:
1.Define the value for yourself.
2.Create an effective sales message to persuade
the right decision makers.
3.Deliver the message
4.Close the deal
5.Add the value you promised to add and always go
the extra mile.
6.Get paid
7.Provide follow-up service

adder.
Just-a-jobbing.
Fast tracking.
Reinventing your role in any organization.
Leaving without really leaving.
Effective job juggling.
Job hopping.
Entrepreneuring.
Knowledge working.

Amor propio

Types of Problems
Once you recognize that a problem exists, but before you begin to
solve it, you should determine the type of problem as it relates to a
timeframe and your personal priorities. There are two criteria to use
in your determination: severity and importance.
ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Severe Problems
These problems may be identified by the following characteristics:
■ require immediate solutions,
■ may call for the involvement of others who have more expertise than
you
■ result in increasingly drastic consequences the longer they remain
unsolved
Important Problems
Problems are viewed as important or unimportant in relation to one
another, and according to personal priorities. When you are faced with a
number of problems, you must evaluate them in terms of priority so that
you are not dealing with minor issues first, and leaving the more
important ones to go unattended until the last minute. Prioritizing means
looking at each problem or issue, and ranking it in terms of importance.
ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Defining a Problem
■ Get the information you need, even if you have to ask for
it.
Think It Through
Another important way to distinguish between problems and
their symptoms or consequences is to think it through. Ask
yourself, “What is really happening?” Look at the problem
carefully to see if there is a cause lurking underneath or if it is
going to result in another problem or set of problems.
Thinking it through allows you not only to define the issue(s)
you face now, but can help you anticipate a problem or
problems.
ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Concept maps, also called target maps, should be used when you are
exploring a topic that is not complex. To make one, draw a circle and
add spokes radiating from it. Put your central idea or problem in the
middle, and add possible solutions around it in any order. As you can see
from the example that follows, a concept map visually arranges a simple
decision and the factors that may be used in making that decision.
ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Webbing
Webs are visual organizers that are more structured and complex than concept maps. They are
most useful when you are exploring possible solutions to a problem that has a number of
symptoms or causes. To develop a web, write your problem in a circle. Next, write the symptoms
or possible causes of the problem in smaller, or secondary, circles, each connected to the center
by a line. From each of the secondary bubbles, draw smaller bubbles in which you brainstorm
possible solutions. Each possible solution is connected to the corresponding secondary bubble by
a line.

ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Problem/Solution Outline
This type of graphic organizer is useful because the act of filling it out forces you to:
1. Clearly delineate the problem at hand, including causes and effects
2. Come up with solutions, and even possible outcomes of those solutions

necesitaba cerrarse o venderse.
La Vía McKinsey
ANALISIS DE PROBLEMAS
Soluciones Realistas
Mantenga en mente que las soluciones deben ser realistas;

21. Use questions deductively. When you’re instructing someone, you can either deliver the
information or ask questions that will lead your listeners to deduce the correct procedure
(concept, reasons, etc.). The use of questions is usually more effective. The other person is
more participative, you’re building on that person’s level of understanding rather than yours,
and your listener’s comprehension and retention will be greater.
22. Apply the Layer Method. Professional writers and speakers bring their messages to life
by alternating between abstract and concrete, between a concept and its application, between
rule and example, between things and people. In short, they create layers of human interest in
a message that might otherwise be dry or technical. If the first paragraph describes a new
policy or procedure, the next paragraph shows how Marge Smith in accounting is affected.
The third paragraph describes another aspect of the new policy or procedure, and the fourth
paragraph illustrates how our customers are benefiting from it.
comunicación
23. Avoid sex bias. Your references to groups of people should show no preferences for male
or female pronouns. It is no longer acceptable to say, “Each employee should check with his
supervisor” or, “The customer knows that he can always get his money back.” The easiest way
to avoid sex bias is to put your references in the plural: employees and customers require the
plural, unisex pronouns their, they, them.
24. Test your assumptions. When your ability to influence the other person depends heavily
on the accuracy of your assumptions, test them. Example: “With all the recent talk about
quality improvement, I’m guessing that you’ve heard this tune before during your many years
with the company, and you might be thinking that this is nothing new. How about it?”
25. Answer the “WIIFM?” “What’s in it for me?” This is what other people are thinking as
you deliver your message. Your ability to answer this question to their satisfaction will lead
them to accept or to be cautious and reserved, or possibly even to reject. You need to draw on
your empathy, putting yourself in their shoes, addressing their needs and concerns, as early in
the communication as possible.
comunicación
THE EIGHT SECRETS OF SUCCESSFUL SPEAKING
1. Define the purpose of your presentation before doing anything else.
3. Hook the attention of your listeners early in a speech so they will listen to
the rest of it.
4. Tell the audience why you’re speaking to them at the beginning, the
middle, and the end of your talk.
7. Evaluate each talk you give so you can constantly improve your skills.
As you prepare a talk, conduct a listener analysis— analyze the people who
are going to receive your talk. This is similar to what you’d do before
starting to write a memo or report. This information will help you
determine what to say, ask yourself the following questions:
How much do they already know? They may be experts or they may
know almost nothing about your topic. You don’t want to “talk down” to
your listeners. But you also don’t want to speak over their heads.
Determine what your audience knows and pitch your talk to your
audience’s level of understanding.
Where do they stand? Your listeners may be likely to agree with what
you’re saying, or they may need a lot of convincing. Find out their
attitudes; then determine what to say to persuade them of your point of
view.

IN SUMMARY . . .
•Know the subject and the purpose of the speech you are
going to give. Your speech and your summary sentences
should be focused mainly on the purpose.
Conócete a ti mismo.
•Conoce tu carácter, tu inteligencia, tus opiniones e
inclinaciones. Tiene que conocer las fuerzas de tu prudencia;
•The power of quiet. Quiet is the natural state of the body at rest.
Venting your anger verbally only adds more tension, further
elevating your heart rate, blood pressure, and so on. Just by being
quiet for a few moments, while you continue to formulate your
response to anger, you’ll begin to calm down. This simple principle
underlies the advice of one leading anger expert, who says the
first thing the angry person should do is to shut up.

Ocho pasos para el éxito:
1. Sueña. No permitas que nada limite tus sueños. Escribe
agrega poco valor. Se inteligente y mantente alerta.
6. Haz los ajustes necesarios a tu plan y a tu estrategia.
Regresa al paso cuatro.
7. Cuando logres tus objetivos, ten gratitud. Toma tiempo
para disfrutar la culminación de tu plan. Agradece
aquellos que te ayudaron alcanzar tus logros. Disfruta tu
éxito.
8. Plantéate nuevos objetivos y empieza el proceso
nuevamente.

Any time you sincerely want to make a change, the first thing you must do
Is to raise your standards. When people ask me what really changed my life
eight years ago, I tell them that absolutely the most important thing was
changing what I demanded of myself. I wrote down all the things I would
no longer accept in my life, all the things I would no longer tolerate, and all
the things that I aspired to becoming.
expectativa
The Two Factors for a Phenomenal Family
1. Put your family life on what I call Project Status. This means that
you must consciously decide to actively, purposefully work on improving
your family situation each and every day. You may need to do such things
as:
• Reschedule or forgo work or business activities in order to make time
to spend with your children.
• Change your normal routine so that you can spend more time with your
children. This may include reading to your children at bed-time, doing
hobbies together or having a family movie night each week.
• Make an appointment with your family and keep it. Set aside an hour a
day for the family every day.
• Help your children set and achieve goals. Your kids need direction in
their lives.
• Passionately adopt a mind-set that you will be committed for the long
haul. Don't decide to work on your family life for just a week, a month
or some preset period of time. You must parent your children until .. .
2. Commit at a Project Status level to discover and bring out the
authenticity of every family member.
Each child in your family came into this world with a core set of unique
skills, abilities, interests and talents—all of which make up their
genuine identity, their "authentic self." It is all of their strengths
and gifts that are uniquely theirs and need expression. This self is not
who you want them to be; it is who they're uniquely skilled, gifted and
predisposed to be.
The following suggestions will help you get started on ways to discover
and bring to the surface the authenticity and hidden talents and
interests of each of your children.
• Open the door to different experiences for your children—music, art,
drama, literature, science, leadership, travel, sports and so forth.
• Begin to recognize and observe in your children particular talents or a
streak of intelligence and inspire them to develop it.
• Respect and encourage your child's uniqueness.
• Never, ever overprogram or overschedule your child's time with too many
activities. This has the potential of backfiring in a big way by making
your child dislike the activity and ultimately give it up
FELICIDAD
FELICIDAD
1. Self-Worth
Self-worth—without it, happiness will always be just beyond your grasp. Self-worth is,
of course, something that can be measured along a continuum. It isn’t like you either
have it or you don’t. You can possess varying degrees and those degrees can
themselves vary depending on the circumstances of your life.
Generally, the person who is happiest has a healthy amount of self-worth without an
inflated view of their own self-importance. This is the fine line that must be walked
between confidence and arrogance.
No one person is any more important than anyone else. Those with high self-worth
know their life’s purpose. They are in tune with what their mission is and proceed to
make it their life’s work. They also recognize the value of everyone else with whom
they share space.
FELICIDAD
2. Gratitude
The second key to happiness is gratitude. It is human nature to enumerate the things that are
NOT the way we want them to be. We are programmed to notice when things are off, and not
necessarily appreciate when all is as we want it. This makes maintaining an attitude of gratitude a
challenge but nonetheless something we should strive for.
Another point about gratitude is to be thankful for what you have. I love the line in the song that
says, “It’s not having what you want; it’s about wanting what you got!” There’s nothing wrong
with wanting to do better than you are as long as you are grateful along the way. Even when
things are bad, there is always good to be found in it. Life is in perfect balance and order.
Anything with a great deal of pain associated with it also has a tremendous positive side if we are
of the mind to see it.
The third key to happiness is positive life framing. It is helpful to find a way to reframe life’s
negative events into positive ones. Even in life’s tragedies, there is a way to find something
positive about the situation. Almost always, in hindsight, we can see the benefit. The real benefit
comes when we are able to see the benefit as the tragedy unfolds, or at least stay open to the
thought that there is a benefit even if you are unable to see it in that moment.
FELICIDAD
The fourth key to happiness is possessing an internal locus of control. People who have an
internal locus of control believe that they are responsible for their own behavior and its results
based on their own personal decisions and efforts. This is contrasted with those who have an
external locus of control. These individuals believe that their behavior is determined by external
circumstances such as other people, fate, luck or circumstances beyond their control.
Having an internal locus of control produces a “can do” attitude. An external locus of control
generally results in a helpless attitude. Even though people with an internal locus of control still
have situations that occur that are beyond their control, they will seek some action that can be
taken by them to improve the situation. They do not spend time bemoaning the fact that
something bad happened to them. They look for decisive action opportunities to turn things
around.
In this way, a person is more in charge of their own destiny. They can reject the role of victim
and take definitive action to create greater life satisfaction.

5. Lifelong Learning
The fifth key to happiness is to adopt an attitude of lifelong learning. Your goal each day should
be to learn something new. As you encounter new people and situations, look for the wisdom that
can be extracted from them. Particularly in areas where we believe we made a “mistake”, seek to
uncover the lesson. There is always a lesson to be learned.
When we believe we know all there is to know, that is when we are in dangerous territory. When
we think we know all, then we stop learning from the people and situations in our path. When we
stop looking for the lessons, we begin to blame things external to ourselves for the pain we
experience instead of seeking to learn whatever we need to know for our life’s journey.
6. Love
Love is the sixth key to happiness. I am not talking about having a significant other in your life
who loves you. I’m talking about having love inside of you that is just bursting out of you to
touch others. Unconditional love is a concept we all strive for—unfortunately, most of us are
looking to receive it rather than give it. You are truly fortunate and blessed when you have the
unconditional love of someone—whether it’s your life partner, your mother, father, aunt, uncle,
grandmother, grandfather, foster parent, friend or puppy!
FELICIDAD
Truly unconditional love is rare and a gift to be cherished. However, ask yourself the question,
how many times have you extended unconditional love? Do you have unconditional love for
your fellow human beings? This is the kind of love that will lead to happiness. It doesn’t matter if
that special someone doesn’t love you back, it’s what’s in YOUR heart that matters. Are you
someone who only loves as much as you feel you are being loved in returned? That certainly
isn’t unconditional! If you are seeking love in your life, then you must be loving in order to
attract the love you seek. This will lead to the ultimate happiness—loving, expecting nothing in
return. Try it.
7. Contribution
The last key to happiness is contribution. This is a combination of knowing and following one’s
life purpose. When people understand their divine purpose in this life and then go about fulfilling
that purpose, they are making an awesome contribution to the good of mankind. Having
meaningful work and leaving a legacy is an important key to happiness. When we do the work
we were meant to do, we touch lives. It doesn’t matter whether one’s purpose is to clean the
public restrooms or to find the cure for AIDS, following your divine purpose will bring about a
strong life fulfillment that cannot be experienced any other way. Contribution is critical to
happiness.

Ganar/ganar implica cinco elementos o dimensiones:

LAW OF ATRACTION

a subrayar.
leer
estructura.

Shut Down Completely
Sometimes, the very best thing you can do during crunch time,
especially when you feel that you have no time at all, is to back
off completely. Take a full day off where you do nothing
whatever that is associated with business. Sleep in late and
get fully rested. Go for a walk or to a movie. Go out for dinner.
Completely relax.
Drink lots of water. You need eight full glasses per day. You
can drink coffee, but in moderation. And don’t drink soft drinks
at all. They contain sugar, caffeine, and other substances that
can give you emotional highs and lows. Take care of your body
as if you were a prize athlete about to go into competition.

Physical activity
Exercises can be done to reduce the effect of stress as they are considered to
be all time greats. Doing an exercise will not remove your stress; it instead
helps to relieve the tension in our body there by increasing the blood pumping
and causing the mind to work more in a focused manner.
Relaxation
Meditation, hot bubble baths, deep breathing, visualization exercises all
helps the brain to relax. Thinking positively can also create a big impact on the
way to reduce the effect of stress.

Organizing your Life
Setting your priorities, your goals, getting rid of unwanted things from your
mind and by managing the time one can reduce the stress to a certain extent.
Focus on what is important to you and try not to get worried about what you
cannot control, in such case the effect of stress will not have much hold on us.
Fun
Having fun is one of the easiest ways to reduce the effect of stress. It can be
going out and having a good time on your own or with your friends or stay at
your home by doing something which makes you happy. Some of the
incredible stress relievers include Laughing, smiling and simply enjoying
oneself.

Ways on how to manage your stress while at the office.
1. Head turning exercise. You can do this by stretching your muscles and turning
your head and arm from side to side. You can do this while you are standing
or even by sitting down.
2. Comfortable chairs to sit on One of the best ways to manage stress is to
prevent it from coming or at least lessen it. You can do this by making sure
that your work area is comfortable to work on.
3. Manage your time Managing your time properly and not cramming can spell a
whole lot of difference in your stress levels.
4. Take a break Taking time out from your work will help you a lot when in
decreasing that stress level. As much as you can, take short minute break and
just close your eyes. Resting the eyes and closing out your senses for a
second helps a lot in centering your spirit and in bringing back the energy.
5. Laugh The best way to lose the stress is to loosen up. Don’t be too serious
with that job. Laugh with friends at the office and join in on the fun. If you can’t
do that, laugh all by yourself by reading some funny comics or books. The
important thing is smile! Smiling relaxes the muscles. In fact, it uses far less
muscles than frowning.

The Four Habits of Highly Effective Sleepers
There are four basic habits to add to your life if you want to massively leverage your
time and eliminate the harmful effects of sleep deprivation.
1. Get optimum amount of sleep every night. The first thing you need to do is find
out just how much sleep you need to be fully alert all day long. Remember the
average adult needs about eight hours a night, while many others need even
more.
2. Establish a regular sleep schedule. To synchronize your biological energy clock
and reduce the total amount of optimum sleep your body requires, go to bed and
get up near the same time every day. This includes weekends.
3. Get continuous sleep. To maximize the full rejuvenating effects of optimal sleep,
sleep in one continuous block of time as much as possible. Naps can help you
reduce your sleep debt but cannot give you the full mental recovery that deeper
REM sleep cycles can generate from longer, sustained rest. Although putting
you in a sleep debt, in the short run six hours of good, solid sleep will subject
you to fewer sleep deprivation effects than eight total hours of poor, fragmented
sleep.
salud
Naps can be very helpful in reducing your sleep debt but should not be your primary
choice over sleeping a little longer at night. The rule on naps is simple: keep them
short. Fifteen to 30 minutes can greatly boost your alertness and productivity for the
rest of the day. During this short time you may not actually fall asleep but could very
probably drift in and out of a meditative state.
The reason you don’t want to sleep any longer than 30 minutes is to prevent you
from drifting into deep sleep, the first main phase of your sleep cycle. If you allow
yourself to cross into deep sleep, you’ll be groggy and difficult to wake, feeling worse
than before your nap.
Create a peaceful sleeping atmosphere.
Make your bedroom or sleep area as relaxing and comfortable as possible. Use the
big three as a rule: make your room comfortably quiet, dark, and cool when you go to
sleep. Try to avoid watching television in bed and never use your bed as a place of
work or study.
salud
Keep an eye on your diet. Eating healthy can substantially help your sleep ability.
However, the biggest dietary factors are what you eat or drink the hours just before
going to bed. A late, heavy dinner or a large nighttime snack can make you feel
bloated and full while you try to drift asleep. Worse, after you do eventually 75 Gain 2
More Hours a Day Through the Power of Sleep fall asleep, you stand a good chance
of waking up in the middle of the night with unwanted energy from your digested
food.
As much as possible, reduce your caffeine and alcohol intake close to your bedtime.
Caffeine is an obvious stimulant, making it difficult to drift asleep. Alcohol is
deceptive. It forces you into a quick, deep sleep but then makes it difficult to
transition properly through your natural sleep cycles.
You’ll stand a good chance of waking up in the middle of the night mentally wired.

Plan to increase your Energy Level
For your plan, think about what areas in your life you can improve upon to add more
energy to your day. Could you eat healthier, exercise more, use more sleep, use
more mental rest and recharging? The role models you can use to help you devise
your plan’s steps can be your doctor, friends, books, tapes, videos, or other health
experts.
To help you get started with your plan, the following are some specific areas that can
help you increase your energy:
•Find ways to get between seven and eight hours of sleep a night minimum.
•Find ways to add more fruits and vegetables to your diet.
•Drink more water.
•Find ways to reduce heavy, fatty meals that will drain your energy level within just
one hour of eating them and continue to do so for several hours.
•Find ways to add consistent, enjoyable exercise to your lifestyle.
•Find ways to give yourself at least 30 minutes a day of mental recharging.
socios
gusten, a quienes respete y admire.
