Key duties/responsibilities for administrative clerk


1.

Answers and directs incoming calls in a professional, efficient and effective


manner to ensure timely telephone communications.
2. Greets and assists visitors and job applicants; screen and/or announce to
appropriate manager.
3. Prepares and coordinates all FedEx shipments as required; sends routers and
information to Illinois three times per week; sorts and delivers all incoming
4. Routes, tracks, and completes final awards for the Ideas Unlimited program.
5. Compiles data and runs reports for a variety of requirements; formulates new
spreadsheets and databases as needed.
6. Codes all invoices for billing and forwards to manager for approval.
7. Conducts inventory of office supplies and warehouse uniform items; generates
orders to stay within budgeted amounts and obtains approval from appropriate
manager prior to ordering.
8. Uses online application system to track, screen, and update all applications.
9. Assists admin clerk with reporting from the Taleo system to keep up to date
records on applicants.
10. Closely works with Human Resources team in providing customer service to our
employees .
11. Handles a significant amount of confidential information with dignity and respect.

Key job qualifications for administrative clerk


1. 2 years of professional administrative support experience required
2. High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates or Bachelors
degree preferred
3. Customer service experience
4. Ability to work independently
5. Strong organizational skills
6. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook;
PowerPoint and/or AS400 skills highly desirable, as is the ability to learn
other software systems
7. Work the required schedule, work at the specific location required,
complete Penske employment application, submit to a background
investigation (to include past employment, education, and criminal
history) and drug screening are required
