To show the pattern and nature of daily


trips made by the residents
The main purpose of O-D study is to
plan the transportation in urban city
especially the type of land use,
road/traffic network and public
transportation system.

Determine the traffic flow if traffic congestion


occurs, a short cut must be plan to give a
comfortable travel to road user.

KAWASAN KAJIAN
Ialah kawasan di mana bentuk perjalanan akan berubah dengan

pelaksanaan cadangan pengangkutan. pemilihan atau penentuan


sempadan akan menentukan kos kajian.
Sempadan maklumat yang dikutip dipanggil external cordon
PENZONAN

Kawasan kajian yang telah ditentukan dipecahkan pula kepada


beberapa kawasan kecil yang dinamakan zon.
Tujuan penzonan ini ialah untuk membolehkan dan mempercepatkan
pemungutan data berkait dengan kegunaan tanah dan faktor-faktor
ekonomi yang sering mempengaruhi corak perjalanan.
Data dipungut berdasarkan isi rumah yang berasingan sukar untuk
dianalisis. Ini berbeza jika kesemua isi rumah dikelompok mengikut zonzon.
