HISTORY AND EVOLUTION


ITC was incorporated on August 24, 1910

under the name Imperial Tobacco Company of


India Limited.
Name of the Company was changed from
Imperial Tobacco Company of India Limited to
India Tobacco Company Limited in 1970 and
then to I.T.C. Limited in 1974.

A Modest Beginning
The Company's beginnings were humble. A
leased office on
Radha Bazar Lane, Kolkata,
was the center of the Company's existence

1925: Packaging and Printing: Backward Integration


ITC's Packaging & Printing Business was set up in 1925 as

a strategic backward integration for ITC's Cigarettes business.


1975: Entry into the Hospitality Sector - A 'Welcom'

Job Profile/Job Responsibilities:


Job Profile formanagement Traineeposition is as below:

*A management trainee will be on probation for the period of 1


year. After successful completion, they will be confirmedas an
Area management Executive where they will be given an
independent market to handle.

For the first six months - intensive and comprehensive


training is provided to the management trainees with a
detailedexposure across Channels & Product categories.
-Regular reviews will be taken and feedback will be provided.
-After the training, the management Trainee will began handling
a section under an Area management Executive's guidance.
-Once confirmed and promoted after a year, the responsibilities
as well as the salary on hand will be equivalent to an Area
management Executive
