ILLEGAL USE OF ELECTRICITY

(SEC 2)
Tap, make or cause to be made any
connection with overhead lines, service
drops, or other electric service wires, without
previous authority or consent of the private
electric utility or cooperative concerned
Tap, make or cause to be made any
connection to existing electric service
facilities of any duly registered consumer
without the latters or electric utilitys
consent

Tamper, install, or use a tampered electrical

meter, jumper, current reversing transformer,
shorting or shunting wire, loop connection or
any other device which interferes with the
proper or accurate registry or metering of
electric current or otherwise, results in its
diversion in a manner whereby electricity is
stolen or wasted
Damage or destroy an electricmeter,
equipment

wire or conduit to allow any of them to be so

damaged or destroyed as to interefere
with the proper or accurate metering of
electric current
Knowingly use or receive the direct benefit
of electric service obtained though any of
the actions mentioned
PENALTY:Prision mayor or a fine of P10T-20T

Cut,

saw, slice.. Or remove any electric

power transmission line/material or
meter.. without the consent of the owner,
whether or not it is done for profit or gain
Take, carry away or remove any electric
power transmission line/material or
meter.. without the consent of the owner,
whether or not it is done for profit or gain

Store, possess or keep in his

premises,custody or control any electric
power transmission line/material or meter
without the consent of the owner, whether
or not the act is done for profit or gain
Load, carry, ship or move from one place
to another any electric power transmission
line/material without first securing the
required clearance or permit, whether or
not the act is done for profit or gain
PENALTY: Reclusion temporal or fine of P50100T

Prima Facie Evidence of

ILLEGAL USE OF ELECTRICITY
(Sec 4)

Presence

of bored hole on the glass

cover of the electric meter or at the
back thereof
Presence inside the electric meter of
salt, sugar and other elements
Existence of any wiring connection
which affects normal operation or
registration of electric meter
Presence of a tampered, broken or fake
seal on the meter, etc

Presence in any part of the building or its

premises within the control of consumer
or on the electric meter, of a current
reversing transformer, jumper, etc
Mutilation, alteration,.. tampering of
instruments, transformers and
accessories
Destruction or attempt to destroy any
integral accessory of the metering
device box

Acceptance of money or other valuable

consideration by any officer or employee
of the electric utility concerned or making
of such an offer to any of the officer or
employee for not reporting the presence of
the mentioned circumstances

line or material by any person not
engaged in the business or industry

Disconnection of Electric

service of written notice or warning
without need of court or
administrative order
If caught illegally using electricity
deny reconnection
