Water Supply under CSR

19nos
peripheral
villagesofTalchercoalfields has been implemented at a cost of Rs 22.24
Crores.
a) The source of water is River Brahmani and after being treated at
IWSS, Talcher, the water is being supplied to the villagers.
b) The no. of beneficiaries is 33600 of 19 nos. of villages.
c) The proposal of WTP of 1 MGD capacity using under ground mines
water is under active consideration.
d) This WTP will cater the need of water of approximately 33500
people of the peripheral villages (considering 135 ltr per capita per
day)

1. 3 Nos. Piped water supply scheme for 35 peripheral villages of Talcher
Coal fields amounting to Rs.56.89 Crore has been taken up through RWSS,
Talcher ( Rural Water Supply and Sanitation Department, Govt . Of Odisha,
Talcher) (Villages covered under the above Scheme are Kandhal and its
adjacent villages , Kamarei, Jarada, Badataribada, Badagunduri and its
adjoining villages under kaniha Block, Chandrabiland its adjoining
Villages under Kaniha Block of Angul District ). An amount of Rs.56.89
Lakh has been deposited to Collector, Angul for preparation of DPR.
a) The source of water is River Brahmani and RWSS ( Rural Water
Sup[ply & Sanitation Department ) is the executing Agency and
the treated water will be supplied to the villagers.
b) The no. of beneficiaries is 47500 of 35 nos. of villages.

1. Improvement of Water Supply System including Water treatment
plant at Burla, Sambalpur amounting to Rs.8.62 Crore. An amount
of Rs.3.50 Crore has been deposited to Collector, Sambalpur and
the work is under progress.
2. Water supply scheme for Brajrajnagar town at Jharsuguda
amounting to Rs.8.88 Crore. Already an amount of Rs. 4.44 Crore
has been deposited with Collector, Jharsuguda.
3. Renovation of Soubbhagya Sagar a Big Tank of Talcher Municipality
has been taken up amounting to Rs. 3.22 Crore and work is in
progress.

Apart from above mentioned major
water supply projects, Water made
available to the doorstep of peripheral
villagers through mobile tankers during
summer every year. On an average
Rs.5.00 crore per annum is being
spent.

Major Road Projects of MCL under


CSR

Widening of two lane Road of Four lane road (27 Km length) from
Bankibahal in BG Area of MCL to kanika Railways Siding in
Sundargarh amounting to Rs.266.50 Crore has been taken up as
deposit work through PWD,Govt of Odisha. An Amount of Rs.28.81
Crore has already been deposited and the tender is under
finalisation.

Construction Byepass Road at Ujjalpur in Sundargarh Lepripara


Road (MDR 27) under Basundara Garjanbahal Area amounting to
Rs. 18.589 Crore. An Amount of Rs.4.73 Crore has already been
deposited and the tender is under finalisation.

Construction of Road Over Bridge (ROB) near Ghantapada Village,


Talcher amounting to Rs.28.65 Crore and tender has been
finalised.

Construction of Service Bridge over Power Channel of Mahanadi


River at Burla, Sambalpur amounting to Rs. 10.00 Crore.
