Primary research: Primary research is any type of research that you go out and collect yourself.
Secondary research: Secondary research involves the summary, collation and/or synthesis of existing
research rather than primary research, where data is collected from, for example, research subjects or
experiments.
Interview: a meeting of people face to face, especially for consultation.
Focus group: A focus group is a form of qualitative research in which a group of people are asked about
their perceptions, opinions, beliefs, and attitudes towards a product, service, concept, advertisement,
idea, or packaging.
Questionnaires: a set of printed or written questions with a choice of answers, devised for the purposes
of a survey or statistical study.
Open questions: a matter that is not yet decided or is unable to be decided.
Closed questions: A closed-ended question contrasts with an open-ended question, which cannot be
answered with a simple yes or no, or with a specific piece of information, and which gives the person
answering the question scope to give the information that seems to them to be appropriate.

Examples:
What research would you use if you wanted to know how many girls like chocolate?
If I was going to look into this I would use primary research because this means I'm able to go an ask
any questions I want and Ill collect all the need results.
What research would you use if you wanted to know mens opinions on five different areas in London
and whether they would want to live there?
If I was to use a certain research for this task it would most likely be a questionnaire because this allows
my to ask the men several questions about each area and by the end they might know which areas
best.
Why would you use a focus group to find out what films people like and why?
The reason for using a focus group with something like this is so that a number of people can share
their opinions about movies and no one can change their decision.
