Introduction
The idea of mc Donald's was
introduced by two brothers Mac
(Maurice) and Dick (Richard)
Mc Donald in California.
In 1940 the restaurant was
renamed as Mc Donald's
Famous Barbeque.

McDonald started their


business in India in 1996.
The whole of menu of
Mcdonalds was indianised and
specially Re-Engineered to woo
Indians.

OBJECTIVES OF THE
STUDY
To analyze consumer behaviour
towards consumption of fast food at
Mac Donalds.
To study the reason for preference
toward to Mac Donalds.
To study consumer awareness.

METHODOLOGY
Research design
The research was carried out in the form of a survey
which was done in Bareilly and was done using a
quetionnaire with both close and open end questions.
Sample design
The target population included people of the city on a
simple random basis.

Sample size
50 people.

Data collection
This study involved data collection by both
primary and secondary method.
Primary Data
Primary data has been collected through
personal contact and questionnaire.
Secondary Data
It has been collected from books and
websites.

Findings
Basically 15-30 age group people
prefer Mc donalds because of
western
Influence.
The first thing strikes into mind of
the customers at mc d is food
quality and value of money.

People mostly prefer Mc Aloo Tikiee


because of its price(Rs. 25), and then
next they switch to Other varients of
burger costing (50+) and other products
of McD.
People prefer going to Mc donalds in the
evening because they are free from their
work and for relaxing and spending time
with friends with soothing music in AC.

People patronize Mc Donalds for


delicious food and its affordable
prices. and especially kids get
attracted towards happy meal.
People mostly visit McD at weekends.
People even attract towards delicious
economic desserts i.e. ice creams
and shakes.

Long cues is the main problem


at McDonalds.

SUGGESTIONS
A system that helps people to order
online or on mobiles to deliver it from
the nearest branch of McDonalds to
person house.
Also they can include a BIGGER
screen for customers to see if there is
any meal isnt available in the kitchen
and that will make customers more
satisfied rather than wait for to long.

Company should promote games


on every table. Outlets should be
there in colleges too for the
prime customers are students.
They should come up with more
variety of puff and rolls. Cheese
French fries can be a good
option.

Consumers likes, dislikes


tastes and preferences,
health etc. have to be
taken into consideration
by using table to table
feedback technique.
Low fat food should be
launched.
