Introduction:

Nepal lies in very active seismic zone

Nepal suffers earthquake of high intensity at every 80 -100 years

Soil amplification effect, building type, construction material, and way of construction are
the main cause of massive damage in context of Nepal due to earthquake.

Just five month ago, we had suffer earthquake of magnitude 7.8 Richter

Due to this most of the people in Nepal have understand importance of seismic resisting
design of building

To overcome massive disaster, we should have seismic resisting building

A proper seismic resistant building are designed based on seismic coefficient method
(static method) and response spectra method (modal analysis method/ spectral
acceleration method/ dynamic method)
