SHORT STORY. Because in my own

perspective,
it is a living
like
If I were a Literary
Piece,being
I would
beme.
a It was
born and it continuously grows like me. As a
short story, Im empowered by a single breath;
a deep breath that is not panting like that of a
novel nor blunt as that of a poem.
I am both a living person and a ghost of a
world thats inside me. I have the world in a
miniature. I open realms for intuition that will
let you be aware of the things happening
around you. Because Anton Chekhov said,
The world is nothing but our conception of it.
As a short story, not only do I need
attention but I demand it; to every utterance
that comes out of me. My life has its own
twists in the plot, an inflection in its voice, and
my own resolutions. And I may not lead you to

Chiruru
Chiruru is from the planet
Pululu where all the living
creatures are crawling. All the
things use in that planet
except for shelter or houses
are furs. And those furs are
produced by the planets tree
of life which has an animal,
with so much fur, inside to
sustain its life. The furry animal
is preserved so that the tree
will keep producing furs even if
the animal is already dead.
One day, the animal on the
tree was stolen and no one can
find it. Because of this, the tree
of life gradually stops its
production of furs and when it
will totally stops, the whole
planet will be in danger.

The leader of the living

creatures in the planet tasked
Chiruru to find another animal
across the galaxy. Because no
one of them can replace the
animal. He has to find one in
three days because that is
when the saved supply of furs
will be gone.
Chiruru then asked their
leader,
ChiChiRuLuRuChi?
Which says,
In what planet will I find
one?
Then the leader said,
ChiRiLuLuChiChi
Eeeaarrtthhh!

Which says,
There are lots in planet
earth!
And so Chiruru became
determined and said,
RuRuRuChiChi
LuRiRi!
Which means,
Okay then, I will do my
best to make it in time, that
planet takes only a day to
travel from here so I will
immediately find a furry
animal once I get there!
This marks the beginning of
Chirurus adventures.

JANUARY

FEBRUARY

Each
year,
my
fathers side of the
family gather to have
our
grand
family
reunion
held
every
January 3 at Bustos,
Bulacan. Then on the
29th
of
January
we
celebrated the 36th year
wedding anniversary of
my parents.

University
of
Saint
Louis
Tuguegarao
celebrated
its
50th
founding anniversary and
it lasted for a week. I have
joined a contested event in
this celebration and that is
the Stone Art Making.

MARCH
Everyone
is
busy
preparing
for
the
final
exams. Even our instructors
are busy finalizing our
grades and our test papers.
But we are also looking
forward for the short break
we will have before the
summer classes starts.

APRIL
Its the start of Summer
Classes. Because its my
first summer class, it took
me some time to adjust in
my studies. Also, one of my
cousins from my fathers
side of the family got
married in the 26th day of
this month.

MAY

JUNE

This is another busy

month for summer classes
are about to end. And again,
there
are
lots
of
requirements that need to
be passed. Then the last
week of the month is
scheduled
for
the
enrollment for the next
school year.

Its the start of another

school year. Its also the
start of my 3rd year college
life. And even though I
have many back subjects,
Ive always kept in my
mind that eventually, I will
graduate and I will become
a teacher someday.

JULY

AUGUST

This month became

special for me because in
its 3rd week, I attended a
convention of Jehovahs
Witnesses together with
my family. I was given a
role in the drama played
in the convention. For
me, it is both an honor
and a blessing.

One of my sister-inlaw,
my
eldest
brothers wife, decided
to take a vacation on
the next month and we
are all excited about it.

SEPTEMBER

OCTOBER

My
sister-in-law
had
arrived home. And we were
very happy. But there are
sudden turn of events and
her supposed to be vacation
had become stay-for-good
here in the Philippines. And
she, together with my
brother decided to live in
Nueva Ecija.

My
second
eldest
brother also decided to
live here in the Philippines
for good together with his
wife and their daughter.
We are all happy about it.
And also, Ive also been
preparing for the final
term of the semester.

NOVEMBER
This month marks the
beginning of the second
semester. My goal is to
maintain my grades, if not,
maybe better. Weve also
attended
another
convention of
Jehovahs
Witnesses on the 3rd week
of this month.

DECEMBER
The Holiday break is
nearly coming but we are
all concerned about the
prelim exams. And also, the
last week of the month was
intended for travel to
Nueva Ecija to prepare in
our next grand reunion in
Bulacan.

Throughout the
year 2015, Ive
experienced both
joyous and
disappointing
events. But, I
have learned a
lot from these
experiences and
Im trying my
best to become
better everyday.

Setting
Charles and Ellie lives
in a small town in England
called Brentwood. This town
seems to be an example of
a place where both urban
and rural styles of living
meet. Though the buildings
and the houses are styled
like
in
the
90s
but
technology
have
been
dominant in this area too.
The way of living in this
town
also
reflects
the
people that lives here. For
even though peace
is
among the people, there are
still hierarchy in terms of
the social status of the
citizens.
Charles and Ellie are
from the bloodline of the
Weller Family. This family
have been influential for
several decades because of
the different businesses
they handle.

Their bloodline had not

been
cut
since
their
beginning for there has
always been an heir of the
Familys name. But Charles
was the last one of this
bloodline and his wife, Ellie,
had just had their son. Their
son
became
the
most
precious thing for the both
of them.
While Ellie is still in the
Hospital, an unexpected
event happened. Charles
went home to pick some do
some
important
maters
regarding their business and
Ellie is left with two of their
maids. And then there was
suddenly a blazing fire all
around the hospital. People
are screaming, and chaos is
everywhere. But only one
thing runs into Ellies mind.
To save her son.

Ellie disregarded the

loud call of her two maids
and went on the nursery
despite the burning feel she
has
around
her.
Upon
entering the nursery room,
there are only two babies.
She knew one of them is her
son but she couldnt figure
out who. She cant carry
them both considering the
situation. She had to choose
one.
Ellie is ready to take
one despite not being sure
who her son is. But Charles
came on time. While Ellie
was going to the nursery,
Charles entered the burning
hospital
with
the
firefighters at his back.
Fortunately, they were able
to see Ellie before she made
an action and both babies
are saved.

That Malevolent Girl

Hello.
I
am
Lady
Tremaine. I am married to
the richest merchant in
town. I was a former widow
of a noble man. I have two
daughters with my former
husband, and my new
husband have a pathetic
daughter with his former
wife. His daughters name is
Ella and I hate everything
about
her,
especially
because she looks like her
mother. My two daughters,
Anastasia and Drizella calls
her Cinderella. And after her
father died, Ive changed
the household into what my
heart desires. And Ive put
Cinderella into where she
belongs, in the attic. And
Ive made her do chores. It
fits her because her clothing
looks like rags anyway.
I have a cat named
Lucifer. And I often see
Cinderella yelling at him.

makes me even more angry

at her. She makes all the
people like her. But I dont. I
hate everything about her.
Besides, my daughters are
more beautiful than her.
One
day,
weve
received an invitation for a
ball held in the palace. Ive
thought that maybe the
price is now looking for a
suitable wife. Since the
invitation
invites
every
maiden in town. That idea
struck me. If every maiden
is invited, that means
Cinderella can go. But I will
make sure that doesnt
happen. I will make her do
chores until morning so that
she wont be able to attend.
My
plan
worked.
Although Cinderella insisted
but I didnt let her. It will
cost her a miracle before
she could go to the ball.

We arrived at the ball

just the right time. I asked
the announcer to make my
daughters
entrance
sublime. Im right. The
prince is indeed looking for
a
suitable
wife.
My
daughters are very fit for it.
I was arranging a plan
for my daughters to be
noticed by the prince when
a
girl
wearing
a
magnificent dress came into
the ball. All the attention
was on her. And the Prince!
He also took her hand for a
dance. This girl gets into my
nerves. And when I took a
closer look, that girl looks
familiar.
I was about to follow
them, the prince and the
girl,
when
the
guards
restrained me. And so I
have no choice but to go
back into the ball and just
socialize with other elites in

That Malevolent Girl

Its almost midnight
and nothing happened with
the
prince
and
my
daughters. The prince and
that girl might be strolling
around the palace and I
cant follow them! What a
nuisance!
An interesting event
happened in midnight. The
girl suddenly walks out the
palace upon the ticking of
the
clock
at
12.
My
daughters might not be able
to be queen but so is that
girl. This also means victory
for me.
We went home with
nothing and that upsets me.
But think on the bright side,
no one has taken yet the
position of the queen. Well
just
wait
for
further
announcement
in
the
palace. For now, Ill just see
what Cinderellas doing. I
think she finished
the

When I went up in the

attic to see Cinderella, I felt
strange on my way. But
when I entered the attic,
nothings seems to be
different from what I saw.
Then
theres
Cinderella,
sleeping soundly. But that
makes me curious; how can
she sleep so soundly after
what
happened
earlier?
That reason is maybe the
one giving me the strange
feeling. Oh well, Ill just
have to find out tomorrow.
the next morning, I
told Cinderella to make us
breakfast. She did but shes
like floating into some kind
of dream and didnt seem to
notice our complains about
her. Then after her chores
she went straight to the
attic, her room. I followed
her and Ive discovered
somehing!

She was holding a

glass slipper! And Ive heard
her say that she was at the
ball
last
night!
That
disgraceful child! Although I
have no idea how it
happened, but it makes me
so furious!
There
was
an
announcement from the
palace that says, Whoever
maiden fits the glass slipper
will become the crown
princess. And so I locked
Cinderella in the attic and
pushed m daughters to fit
their feet on that glass
slipper! But then it wont fit
to any of them. Then the
people from the palace was
about
to
leave
when
Cinderella appeared! Again,
how can she do that?
That Malevolent Girl!

Still
Time

Lyrahas
been
best
friends withElliotandGuiche
since childhood. The three of
them
did
everything
together.
Eventually, Elliot and
Lyra were drawn to each
other more and more. They
were not sure when it began,
but their feelings are real.
But then the wars began, and
Elliot went off into battle. It is
his duty since he is the son of
the duke. Together with his
father, he will lead their army
in the war. While Lyra and
Guiche will be left behind.
Elliot and Lyra had promised
to love each other despite
any circumstances, which
includes
this
unfortunate
event.

It was known that death

awaits all the warriors on the
battlefield. So Elliot asked his
best friend Guiche to take
care of Lyra if anything
happened to him, although
he was a skilled warrior. "Of
course. I'll take care of her,
Elliot. I'll protect her no
matter
what
happens."
Guiche told Elliot. After
hearing his promise, Elliot
was assured and he left off
to the war.
But Guiche, his own
feelings for Lyra drove him
mad with jealousy, until he
felt only hate for his former
best
friend.
He
never

be free of these feelings.

Guiche went to the
village's sacred artwork and
protector, the Crystal Clock
and made the forbidden
wish. He prayed to take
away Elliot's time. His wish
was granted. Elliot was hit at
the back by an arrow. He fell
heavy. That particular arrow
was neither fired by the
enemy nor fired by accident.
Soldiers
who
witnessed
Elliots death and survived
the war claimed that the
arrow was in the shape of a
huge and sharp second hand
of time piece. The Crystal
Clock sent its one hand to

When Lyra heard that Elliot died she

begged the Crystal Clock to take her life
instead. "Please give my time to him." She
said. And her wish was granted too.
If it wasn't for Elliot's sake, Guiche
would never have known that Lyra would
give up her life. Then, having been revived
by Lyra's sacrifice, Elliot returned. But the
village was now in ruins. The people had
disappeared and they were off to a more
safe place to avoid the war. And Lyra, whose
life he tried to protect had already died was
buried at Lyras greenhouse.
"It could be said that I am alive because of
her given time but I want it to be returned to
her." Wishing that his time be transferred to
Lyra, he tool the sword that Lyra had given
him when he left for the war and he thrust it
through his own heart.

And so, the Crystal Clock took pity on

them and granted Elliots wish of dying
but had not revived Lyra from the grave.
And their time had stop and it will not be
possible to move again.
"This is all my fault ... I ..." Guiche said with
full of regrets in his tone. Witnessing the
death of Elliot and Lyra, he realized he lost
them both forever.
And so, because of constant play in time,
the wishes of Guiche, Elliot and Lyra, the
Crystal Clock begun to collapse.
Finally, as Elliot lay dying at the base of the
Crystal Clock the sword Lyra had given
him began to glow strangely in his hand.
"The sword had stopped time in its place
waiting for me to return.

The Start Of
Forever
Hye-won is a very cheerful girl. Although
she knows that shes sick, she always wear her
bright smile and always wants to experience the
joy of life. Her parents are trying their best to
give Hye-won a normal life, since her disease
has not yet declared fatal. Hye-won appreciates
what her parents are doing for her. Mom, Dad, I
love you, Always. Hye-won has been consistent
in showing her love for her parents. And every
night, she utter these words to them.

On the other hand, Minsu is a

child who lacks affection from his
parents. He also knows that his
father has another woman. He has
always pitied his mother whom he
thinks had become a pathetic
woman just because of a worthless
man, his father. He promised himself
that despite this circumstance in his
life, he will be very successful in the
future.
one day both families, Hye-won
and Minsus families, decided to take
a vacation on a small island. There,
Hye-won saw two trees which
branches are intersected. It made
her realize what she wants. A man
who will always be by her side. She
decided to play in those trees when
she met a boy, Minsu, seating on the
bench near the tree. Being friendly,
Hye-won approached him to have a
little talk. But Minsu is not in the
mood. His parents are quarreling
again and he just escaped from
where they are staying. Hes gone
sick of his parents and just wants to
feel free and at ease.

Hey Kid, why are you frowning? said Hye-won. What do you
care? Ill frown whenever I want to. said Minsu. Hye-won thought
that the kid is arrogant and that makes her a bit angry. I was just
asking, no need to be grumpy. said Hye-won. But suddenly, she
thought that there may be a reason why the kid was all grumpy.
Then she smiles again and said, Dont you want to play with me?
Minsu was starting to get annoyed by Hye-won. He plainly said,
No.
Upon hearing his answer, Hye-won did not try to bug him
anymore. Shes not upset. She just thought that maybe the boy
wants some time alone. And so she went back to the trees. Again,
she started to delight herself with the view.
Minsu finally got some peace when the girl left. He thought,
She asked me to play with her yet I didnt know who she is and
even her name. Then he hear giggles from behind him. Being
curious, he turned around. There he saw the girl playing around the
two trees. He gazed at her for some minute. Then he thought, It
must be fun, base from the girls laughter.
He was about to play with the girl when someone called out the
girl, Hye-won, come on, were going home now. It was too late,
the girl left. But the girls name is now in his memory, Hye-won. He
promised himself that he would see the girl again in the future.
