What is Cupro fiber ?

Definition: cupro is a regeneration

celluloseic fiber that comes from
cotton linter* that has been
dissolved in a solution of a
ammonia and copper oxide.

Origin and Evolution

J.P bemberg is the inventor of the

cupro fiber,
First the commercial product placed
in Germany (1897)
Introduced to Japan (1982)
Manufacturing of cupro begun in
Japan (1931)

Bembergstrabe

Bemberg is the trademark name of

cupro fiber.
Still there are only two
manufacturers of cupro in the
world
Asaahi-Kasei
American Bemberg foundation

What is it made of ?
Bemberg is produced from linter

The short, downy fiber that enfolds

and protects the cotton seed.

Cupro is similar to rayon, but breathes

and regulates body temperature like
cotton.
Often used as a silk substitute, cupro is
noted for its ability to create beautifully
draped clothing, except it can be
machine-washed and dried.
Cupro is a antistatic fabric that is
resistant to stretching out of shape at
higher temperature

Cupro is 100% pure regenerated cellulose fiber

which, unlike natural fibers almost perfectly round
and free from surface and structural disordered.

As a result
Cupro is a smooth , fresh, free comfort, creative and
elegant fibers like the cotton linter from which it originates
is biodegradable and gentle on the experiment

Manufacturing of Cupro:
Cupro is a regenerated cellulose fibre derived
from cotton linter and its name comes from
cuprammonium, which refers to the process of
dissolving pure cellulose in an ammonium
solution of copper oxide at low temperature in
a nitrogen atmosphere, followed by extruding
through spinnerets into a sulphuric acid
solution necessary to decompose
cuprammonium complex to cellulose. The
cuprammonium is obtained from the aqueous
cuprammonium hydroxide solvent and the 1 st
bath contains warm water where the filaments
are stretched and the second bath containing
dilute H2SO4 completes the coagulation.
So Cellulose + Cuprammonium hydroxide

Analyzing the Turkis market

Market reachearch:
Turkis market of fabric lacks this new technology,
multi-use fiber.
Production cost in Turkey are high, therefore its
windons is open to imports.
Turkis people always look for comfortable clothing
that can aid them in daily-life, business-life or sports
Competitors:

Different local and foreign firms are

trying to develop a fiber with such as characteristics
.
Other manufacturers of cupro Asai-Kasai might
lunch a competing marketing campaign.
