What is the change of state?

It is the physical process that occurs when a substance
changes from one state to another.
There are six common changes of state:
1. Evaporation
2. Condensation

5. Sublimation

Evaporation
IT IS THE CHANGE FROM A LIQUID TO A GAS AT
THE SURFACE.
THIS OCCURS AT ANY TEMPERATURE BETWEEN
THE MELTING POINT AND THE BOILING POINT.

Condensation
IT IS THE CHANGE FROM A GAS TO A LIQUID.
ENERGY IS REMOVED.
THE PARTICLES MOVE SLOWER.

Freezing
IT IS THE CHANGE FROM A LIQUID TO A SOLID.
ENERGY IS REMOVED.
THE PARTICLES MOVE EVEN SLOWER.

Melting
IT IS THE CHANGE FROM A SOLID TO A LIQUID
STATE BY HEATING IT TO THE MELTING POINT.

Sublimation
IT IS THE CHANGE DIRECTLY FROM A SOLID TO A
GAS WITHOUT PASSING THROUGH A LIQUID
PHASE.
