12 leading carriers signed in the Middle East and we help ferry operators via our new revenue

2007

Happy 20th anniversary to Amadeus!

Celebrating turning 20, and Qantas takes the leap to be the first fully operational airlines on the
Amadeus Alta platform.
2006

Amadeus changes its name to Amadeus IT Group, acquires Traveltainment and signs a technology
partnership with Eurostar
2005

The largest Leveraged Buy Out in European history and we win a major contract to build a
platform for Star Alliance.
2004

Our revenues surpass 2 billion and we acquire a European IT supplier of IT

services, Optims.

2003

We handle nearly 2,500 transactions per second and have over 23 million active PNRs in the
Amadeus central system

The Euro is introduced as common account currency and we

A successful migration from System One to Amadeus in the same year that we process 1 million
bookings in one day for the first time.
1997

We celebrate our 10 year anniversary!

We now operate in 119 markets and host more than 2500 customers at the Mosaic conference
in Barcelona.

300 million bookings have been processed by Amadeus

Step by step, we start to expand

Amadeus becomes the first European company to operate in the new European Currency Unit (ECU),
doing so until the introduction of the Euro.

1987

Amadeus is born!
Air France, Iberia, Lufthansa and SAS agree to create a new global
distribution system.
