Operating
principles

Preliminary
check
In the diagnostic aid, consult:
The "Particular vehicle conditions" paragraph to check that what you are dealing
with is not correct operation of the vehicle (idea of false problem),
The general points of the function to remind yourself of the general principles of
operation,
The preliminary checks indicated.

1- Procedure by document ( Straight to the Point

Method)

Consult the "straight to the

point" item and apply it if it
corresponds exactly to the
customer complaint.
Consult the "Info Flash" and
apply their instructions if
they correspond exactly to
the customer complaint.

Non-air conditioning
example
If the Straight to the Point
method has not led you to the
cause of the failure, move on to
step 2: Fault Flow Chart Method

2- Fault flow Chart method

Air Conditioning F704 : Brightness sensor fault

Air Conditioning F703 : Evaporator sensor fault
Air Conditioning P1403 : Additional heating output fault PTC1

2- Fault flow Chart method

ccess to the fault flow chart method

12

2- Fault flow Chart method

Select the fault flow chart.

1. First, read the fault codes present on
the vehicle.
2. Prioritise the processing of these fault
codes: by identifying those relating to
the customer complaint, by observing
the "processing priority" indicated in
the diagnostic aid.
At the same time, you can consult in the
diagnostic aid, for each fault code, the
information useful for the diagnostics.

If the Fault Flow Chart Method

has not led you to the cause of
the failure, move on to step
3: Symptom Flow Chart Method.

At the same time, you can consult
in
the
diagnostic
aid
the
information provided about the
"Malfunction of the production of

If the Method by Symptom has
not led you to the cause of the
failure, continue in expert mode
(PP2000).
