Learning Intentions
I will understand how I can support SAT
preparation within my mathematics course.
I will locate and then explore the SAT
resources within my course(s) Power
Standards.
I will be able to implement and embed SAT
materials within my written and delivered
plans.

GRID-IN QUESTIONS
22% of the questions on the Math SAT are
student-produced response questions
where students need to solve problems
and then enter their answers on the grids
provided on the answer sheet.
GRID-IN ANSWERS
Mark no more than one circle in any
column.
Only answers marked by filling in the
circle will be scored.
It does not matter in which column you
begin entering your answer; as long as
the responses are recorded within the
grid area, you will receive credit.
The grid only holds 4 decimals places.
The grid can only accommodate
positive numbers and zero.
Unless the problem says otherwise,
answers can be entered on the grid as
a decimal or as a fraction.
Fractions like 6/10 do not need to be
simplified.
All mixed numbers need to be
converted to improper fractions before
being recorded on the grid.
If the answer is a repeating decimal,
students must grid the most accurate
value the grid will accommodate.
SCORING: The redesigned SAT scoring is on a 400 to 1600 scale. There will be
sub-score reporting for every test math, reading, and writing and language
plus additional sub-scores to provide added insight into your test
performance. An example score report is below:
