You are My friends if you do

whatever I command you.

4Another parable He put forth to them, saying: The kingdom of heaven is

like a man who sowed good seed in his field; 25but while men slept, his
enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way.
26But when the grain had sprouted and produced a crop, then the tares
also appeared. 27So the servants of the owner came and said to him,
Sir, did you not sow good seed in your field? How then does it have
tares? 28He said to them, An enemy has done this. The servants said
to him, Do you want us then to go and gather them up? 29But he said,
No, lest while you gather up the tares you also uproot the wheat with
them. 30Let both grow together until the harvest, and at the time of
harvest I will say to the reapers, First gather together the tares and bind
them in bundles to burn them, but gather the wheat into my barn.

Do they not blaspheme that noble

name by which you are called?
18Little children, it is the last hour; and as you have
heard that the Antichrist is coming, even now many
antichrists have come, by which we know that it is the
last hour. 19They went out from us, but they were not
of us; for if they had been of us, they would have
continued with us; but they went out that they might be
made manifest, that none of them were of us. 20But
you have an anointing from the Holy One, and you
know all things.

23for all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God,
24being justified freely by His grace through the
redemption that is in Christ Jesus, 25whom God set forth
as a propitiation by His blood, through faith, to
demonstrate His righteousness, because in His
forbearance God had passed over the sins that were
previously committed, 26to demonstrate at the present
time His righteousness, that He might be just and the
justifier of the one who has faith in Jesus. 27Where is
boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? Of works? No,
but by the law of faith.

If it was based on righteousness, nobody

would be a Christian, much less be saved.

For all have sinned and fall short of

the glory of God,

10For whoever shall keep the whole law, and yet

stumble in one point, he is guilty of all. 11For He
who said, Do not commit adultery, also said, Do
not murder. Now if you do not commit adultery,
but you do murder, you have become a
transgressor of the law.

Do you believe there is a God?

Do you believe that Jesus is His
Son, who died on the cross to
save us from our sins, and was
resurrected to give us hope?
Are you willing to accept Him as
your Lord and Savior, to follow
Him wherever He leads you?

8But what does it say? The word is near you, in

your mouth and in your heart (that is, the word of
faith which we preach): 9that if you confess with
your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart
that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be
saved. 10For with the heart one believes unto
righteousness, and with the mouth confession is
made unto salvation. 11For the Scripture says,
Whoever believes on Him will not be put to shame.
12For there is no distinction between Jew and
Greek, for the same Lord over all is rich to all who
call upon Him. 13For whoever calls on the name of
the Lord shall be saved.

38Then Peter said to them, Repent,

and let every one of you be baptized
in the name of Jesus Christ for the
remission of sins; and you shall
receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.

27For as many of you as were

baptized into Christ have put on
Christ.

10But may the God of all grace, who called us to

His eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after you
have suffered a while, perfect, establish,
strengthen, and settle you.

2 as newborn babes, desire the pure milk

of the word, that you may grow thereby,

57Now it happened as they journeyed on the road, that

someone said to Him, Lord, I will follow You wherever You
go. 58And Jesus said to him, Foxes have holes and birds of
the air have nests, but the Son of Man has nowhere to lay His
head. 59Then He said to another, Follow Me. But he said,
Lord, let me first go and bury my father. 60Jesus said to
him, Let the dead bury their own dead, but you go and
preach the kingdom of God. 61And another also said, Lord,
I will follow You, but let me first go and bid them farewell who
are at my house. 62But Jesus said to him, No one, having
put his hand to the plow, and looking back, is fit for the
kingdom of God.

25Now great multitudes went with Him. And He turned and

said to them, 26If anyone comes to Me and does not hate his
father and mother, wife and children, brothers and sisters,
yes, and his own life also, he cannot be My disciple. 27And
whoever does not bear his cross and come after Me cannot
be My disciple. 28For which of you, intending to build a
tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he
has enough to finish it 29lest, after he has laid the
foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see it begin to
mock him, 30saying, This man began to build and was not
able to finish. 31Or what king, going to make war against
another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he
is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against
him with twenty thousand? 32Or else, while the other is still
a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of
peace. 33So likewise, whoever of you does not forsake all
that he has cannot be My disciple.

However, you should know that

choosing not to be a Christian will
produce a life that is even harder.
28Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I
will give you rest. 29Take My yoke upon you and learn from
Me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest
for your souls. 30For My yoke is easy and My burden is
light.
To help us, God has provided spiritual tools that
enable us to grow as a Christian and overcome
this life.
3For though we walk in the flesh, we do not war according to the flesh.
4For the weapons of our warfare are not carnal but mighty in God for
pulling down strongholds, 5casting down arguments and every high thing
that exalts itself against the knowledge of God, bringing every thought
into captivity to the obedience of Christ

What have you done?

Have you persecuted
Christians?
Forcing them to blaspheme
their own Savior through
slow and painful torture?
Have you persecuted them to
the point of death?

although I was formerly a blasphemer, a persecutor, and an insolent man;

but I obtained mercy because I did it ignorantly in unbelief. 14And the
grace of our Lord was exceedingly abundant, with faith and love which
are in Christ Jesus. 15This is a faithful saying and worthy of all
acceptance, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners, of
whom I am chief. 16However, for this reason I obtained mercy, that in me
first Jesus Christ might show all longsuffering, as a pattern to those who
are going to believe on Him for everlasting life.

1Now Saul was consenting to his death. At that time a great persecution
arose against the church which was at Jerusalem; and they were all
scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the
apostles. 2And devout men carried Stephen to his burial, and made great
lamentation over him. 3As for Saul, he made havoc of the church,
entering every house, and dragging off men and women, committing them
to prison.

33And when they had come to the place called

Calvary, there they crucified Him, and the criminals,
one on the right hand and the other on the left.
34Then Jesus said, Father, forgive them, for they do
not know what they do. And they divided His
garments and cast lots.

20And he arose and came to his father. But when he was

still a great way off, his father saw him and had compassion,
and ran and fell on his neck and kissed him.

1Let a man so consider us, as servants of Christ and stewards of the

mysteries of God. 2Moreover it is required in stewards that one be
found faithful. 3But with me it is a very small thing that I should be
judged by you or by a human court. In fact, I do not even judge myself.
4For I know nothing against myself, yet I am not justified by this; but He
who judges me is the Lord. 5Therefore judge nothing before the time,
until the Lord comes, who will both bring to light the hidden things of
darkness and reveal the counsels of the hearts. Then each ones praise
will come from God.

7What then? Israel has not obtained what it

seeks; but the elect have obtained it, and the
rest were blinded. 8Just as it is written: God
has given them a spirit of stupor, Eyes that
they should not see And ears that they
should not hear, To this very day. 9And
David says: Let their table become a snare
and a trap,
A stumbling block and a
recompense to them. 10 Let their eyes be
darkened, so that they do not see, and bow
down their back always.

God truly is merciful. He does not want

any to be lost.
9The Lord is not slack concerning His promise,
as some count slackness, but is longsuffering
toward us, not willing that any should perish but
that all should come to repentance.

That is why He gave His Son to be sacrificed upon the cross,

thereby giving us an opportunity to be saved.

16For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten
Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have
everlasting life.

However, the Lord is also just, and He will one day

return unexpectedly, as a "thief in the night"
1But concerning the times and the seasons, brethren, you
have no need that I should write to you. 2For you yourselves
know perfectly that the day of the Lord so comes as a thief in
the night. 3For when they say, Peace and safety! then
sudden destruction comes upon them, as labor pains upon a
pregnant woman. And they shall not escape.
Then the door of opportunity will be closed, and only those
who are prepared will be saved.

10And while they went to buy, the bridegroom came, and those who
were ready went in with him to the wedding; and the door was shut.
11Afterward the other virgins came also, saying, Lord, Lord, open to us!

Many might have even acknowledged

Him as Lord.

21Not everyone who says to Me,

Lord, Lord, shall enter the
kingdom of heaven, but he who
does the will of My Father in
heaven.

Some might have gone so far as to have performed many

great works in His name.
22Many will say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in
Your name, cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in
Your name?

However, if they have not obeyed and performed according to

the Lord's command, then Jesus will not recognize them,
and they will be eternally condemned.

21Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of
heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven. 22Many will
say to Me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in Your name,
cast out demons in Your name, and done many wonders in Your name?
23And then I will declare to them, I never knew you; depart from Me, you
who practice lawlessness!

7Do not be deceived, God is not

mocked; for whatever a man sows,
that he will also reap. 8For he who
sows to his flesh will of the flesh
reap corruption, but he who sows to
the Spirit will of the Spirit reap
everlasting life.

13but exhort one another daily, while it is called

Today, lest any of you be hardened through the
deceitfulness of sin.

Not too many people will admit this is

the
reason
for
delaying
their
conversion.
18For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven
against all ungodliness and unrighteousness
of men, who suppress the truth in
unrighteousness, 19because what may be
known of God is manifest in them, for God has
shown it to them. 20For since the creation of
the world His invisible attributes are clearly
seen, being understood by the things that are
made, even His eternal power and Godhead, so
that they are without excuse,

However, such people will one day find

themselves surrounded by all the
selfish beings that ever lived, angels
and people.
41Then He will also say to those on the left hand,
Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting
fire prepared for the devil and his angels: 42for I
was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty
and you gave Me no drink; 43I was a stranger and
you did not take Me in, naked and you did not
clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit
Me.

There is nothing worth losing your

one and only eternal soul.

34When He had called the people to Himself, with His

disciples also, He said to them, Whoever desires to come
after Me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross, and
follow Me. 35For whoever desires to save his life will lose
it, but whoever loses his life for My sake and the gospels
will save it. 36For what will it profit a man if he gains the
whole world, and loses his own soul? 37Or what will a
man give in exchange for his soul? 38For whoever is
ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful
generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed
when He comes in the glory of His Father with the holy
angels.
