WHAT IS ACF?
is a global nonprofit organization
committed to ending world
hunger.
HISTORY
1979
Creation of Action Against Hunger by a group of French intellectuals
(Franoise Giroud, Bernard Henri Lvy, Marek Halter, Alfred Kastler a Nobel
Laureate in physics, Guy Sorman, Jacques Attali, and several other doctors,
journalists and writers. )
1995
Action Against Hunger has developed within the framework of an
interdependent international network (ACF-IN) and has opened two
additional headquarters in Madrid, Spain and London, United Kingdom
1997
Opening of a fourth headquarters in New York, United States
2005
Opening of a fifth headquarters in Montreal, Canada
2013
ACF-International was active in over 47 countries, coming to the aid of
around 7 million individuals.
MISSION
1. Save the lives of severely malnourished children
via the prevention, detection and treatment of
malnutrition
2. Simultaneously, helping vulnerable communities
become self-sufficient.
