Abstract

As the second most populous country in the world India

face a major problem in waste management. As of now there
are traditional waste management systems like periodic and
routine clearing by the various civic bodies like the municipal
corporation. But even though these routine maintenances is
carried out we often come across overflowing garbage bins
from which the garbage spills on to the streets. This happens
because as of now there is no system in place that can
monitor the garbage bins and indicate the same to the
corporation. In this project, we aim at an automatic garbage
level detecting system informing the concerned authorities
timely and also classification among the wastes aiding
efficient waste management.

Methodology
It is an automated garbage collecting cart.
This goes to preset location and the Buzzer
is sounded.
It waits for a preset amount of time and
moves on to the next street.
This process is continued and then finally it
returns to the original start point.
Then the garbage is collected from the cart
by the garbage man and loaded onto the
dumping truck.
HIGHLIGHTS
It is an automated vehicle so no need of
controlling the device manually.
It is used for garbage collection from
various houses in a particular street.
We also implement the wet or dry
separation of the garbage.
Theft prevention of the vehicle is done by
implementing a GSM module.
