Our film focuses around a man trying to prove his sanity. Although he has been inside a mental
institution for two years, he still believes that everything that he has been seeing is real.
This psychological thriller can appeal to many different types of people, including teens and
older men.
 Script
The Asylum
Low angle, looking up the patrons
Voiceover: They came two years ago after I told them I was hearing voices. They think Im insane. *breathing* I am not
crazy. I do not belong here.
Fade in to the scene with the main character and other crazy people
Crazy 1: Theyre coming. Theyre coming.
Crazy 2 & 3: Fidgeting and shaking
Cut scene to door opening from long shot showing the mans face, but focused on the nurse.
*Nurse walks towards main character holding prop* (syringe filled with water, Advil, and glass of water on tray)
Nurse: Hi Mr. Johnson. How are you today?
Adley Johnson: I heard him again today.
Nurse: Its time for your medication.
*Nurse slowly picks up syringe and brings it to his arm*
 Script continued
* Adley Johnson faces window with arm to nurse*
*Ghost stands outside window and stares at Adley*
Adley Johnson: AGGGHHH
*Adley knocks over the glass of water*
*Nurse jumps in surprise*
Nurse: Adley, theres no one there. Youre fine.
Adley Johnson: Hes coming for me.
*Nurse picks up items and drops napkins on floor to clean water then leaves*
Time skip to end of day
*Adley is sitting in his chair looking at the window (hes alone) when the nurse comes in with her tray*
*Nurse gets syringe ready and Adley sees the ghost (Viewer does as well) then the nurse looks up*
*Nurse screams*
*Nurse drops items*

Adley Johnson
Played by: Brandon Dietter
Role in the film: This is the main character. He resides in a mental hospital and everyone
believes hes crazy, however in the end they are proved wrong
Clothing: V-neck T-shirt, khaki slacks, and black socks because usually patients are allowed
to wear whatever they feel most comfortable in and Adley has been in a hospital for a while,
so one can assume he hasnt bought any new clothes recently
Photographs:
Reason: Adley is of an older persona so we need a person who appears to have plenty of
experiences that may be related to the past.
Reasons why hes suitable: He is suitable for our genre because he has more maturity and he
may give the film more intensity. He is suitable for our audience because an older persona
makes the scenes more serious and the viewers would appreciate that more because of the
possibilities in the main characters past.

Nancy Cahill
Played by: Marlee Miller
Role in the film: She is the main nurse who has taken care of Adley for a while and she tends
to his medication, and rehabilitation.
Clothing: She wears a light colored scrub top, loose fitting long pants and black shoes
Photographs:
Reason: There should be nurse present as this will make the film seem more applicable to
life. The nurse should be younger than the main character because she represents innocence
and should be more oblivious to what is going on throughout the film until the end of the
beginning.
Reasons why shes suitable: Shes suitable for the genre because the movie is takes place in
a hospital and nurses are always present. The nurse is the oblivious character that ends up
finding out the truth in the end. She adds more feeling and depth to the film because the
viewer wants her to know what is going on.

Edgar Poe
Played by: Howie Stubbs
Role: Edgar is the assumed ghost throughout the film. However, he turns out to be a
man from the main characters past. This ghost is the main why Adley is in the
hospital so he must play a crucial role in the film.
Clothing: He will be wearing all black. He will be wearing mask. This will be taken off,
revealing who he really is.
Photographs:
Reason: He is much younger so it can be concluded that this person is from Adleys
mysterious past.
Reasons why hes suitable: He is suitable for our thriller genre because from his
youth the viewer can assume that he is stronger and he has reason to seek revenge.
