Drug and Alcohol among Teens

Abstract
Alcohol and drug abuse among teens has been going
on for many years. It wasnt until recently that
numbers started to increase again. As a result to
these numbers increasing more and more people
have been being killed, consuming so much drugs
and alcohol that these adolescents are overdosing
and, becoming regular and lifelong users.
Background/ Purpose
The factors that must be taken into consideration when
examining drugs and alcohol among teens are the
times of exposures, the dependence that develops with
the amount of usage, and the deaths and injuries that
may come from the usage of these substances. The
purpose of this research is to confirm and make families
aware of the dangers of alcohol and drug abuse.
Research Objectives
When and how are these young
adults being exposed to drug and
alcohol?
How does drugs and alcohol use
contribute among the deaths of
young adults?
How many of these teens that
become drug and alcohol users,
socially use or use on a day to day
basis? And what effects does it have
does it have on them?
Method of Analysis
Created an online survey in which I had multiple
people take to get a better understanding on how
young adults got exposed to drugs and alcohol.
Scholarly journals, articles and books were used to
help better understand about my topic of choice.
Scholarly journals such as Social Drinking and
Drugs and Drugs Death and DAAD help me get a
better understanding about this on growing issue.

The different perspectives/ results found while researching about my
topic were:
The importance of preventing exposure to adolescents of drugs and
alcohol.
Alcohol use among youth,
Age at first birth and alcohol use,
Effects of Drinking and Drugs,
Injury control relating to drinking and drugs,
Violent behavior among people who drink and use drugs, and
Drinking and drugs related deaths
Conclusion
Drug and alcohol use among teens has become a
greater issue from past years. To solve these problems
attention needs to come to these adolescents
guardians, without their attention and consideration
these teens lives are at risk.
