 Company Overview

Diemme's history started in 1923, when the founder,

Mr. Alfredo Melandri, designed and realized the first
machines for mechanically pressing of grapes

During the 60s, the filtration technologies, applied

exclusively to the oenological sector until then, were
expanded to other industrial processes with the
establishment of a new division within the company.
This section, specialized in solid-liquid separation
technology, had been equipped with its own technical,
commercial and production structures.

In the early 1970s, Diemme has been reorganized and restructured in order to become a
public limited multi-business company.
Two divisions in the company were set up: the Filter Division and the Oenology Division.

hived off from DIEMME SPA and
bought by Bilfinger Berger.
