air pollution, tobacco smoke, and dietary risks

Among the leading health problems are:

respiratory disease (TB)

diarrheal disease
Morbidity in non communicable disease
Nepal TB is a major health concern in Nepal, 45% of the
population is affected.

Each year 40,000 people develop active TB


The WHO is working to combat this problem by
partnering with private practitioners and developing a
database for TB patients, allowing for early treatment
