Abstract
In this paper we present the performance of dual diversity systems
in time shared shadowed in presence of Weibull and Log-Normal
fading and Unshadowed fading over two uncorrelated branches.
The performance measures of fading communication systems such
as Probability density function(PDF) of signal to Noise ratio(SNR),
Amount of fading(AF) and Outage probability(Pout) will be calculated
for Maximal Ratio Combining(MRC). Graphical results will be
presented for different signals and fading parameters. Here we are
considering dual diversity uncorrelated branches. Further this work
will be implemented for correlated branches. All expressions
derived are very complicated and cannot be solved. So we have
used MATLAB and MATHEMATICA to simulate these complicated
expressions.
Composite Fading

Shadowed/Unshadowed Fading
If considering the case of moving user there is
the possibility of receiving signal from LOS and
shadowed path both. So combined time
shared PDF of instantaneous SNR is

System and Channel Models
Here we are taking two uncorrelated channels in presence of weibull and
log normal fading. So PDF of SNR can be obtained by averaging the PDF of
weibull over log normal fading. Weibull and conditional log normal

The average combined SNR at the MRC output

Conclusion

Till now mathematical modeling for time

shared shadowed/unshadowed fading have
been done. PDF of SNR has been plotted
which satisfies our assumption with existing
literature. So that we can conclude when
there is low shadowing signal follows LOS for
large SNR.
