PATHOLOGY IDENTIFICATION &
BRIEF DESCRIPTION
Alzheimers disease is an aggressively advancing
disease which is known for uprooting an
individuals memory and destroying it along with
other mental services.

for the disease escalate as an individual gets older,

CONCLUSION; PREFERRED
MODALITY
MRI is preferred over CT imaging because of its availability
and how safe it is. Because MRI does not involve ionizing
radiation, an individual can be imaged multiple times
without being harmed.
MRI helps with diagnosis in that it can detect which form of
dementia the patient is suffering from.
The detection of this disease can help with the development
of a proper treatment plan for the patient based on how far
advanced their disease is. Healthcare providers will be able
to prescribed specific medications that should target and
lessen symptoms of their dementia as well as provide
information about the benefits of caregivers and other
activities the patient can be involved in that can help.
