Introduction
Generally hearing loss occurs slowly and
unnoticed at first.
In children born with hearing loss, many
parents do not realize until the age when
children should be able to talk (about 2
years).
Statistics show that in Indonesia about
0.1% of infants born to experience hearing
problems.

It is a therapy in which a person trained to
hear sounds with a wide range of
frequencies, based on the degree of hearing
loss.
D. Speech Therapy
This therapy function to help control talk with
better communication.
One of the speech therapy is auditory verbal
therapy.
Auditory Verbal Therapy is a method for
teaching deaf children to listen and speak using
their residual hearing in addition to the constant
use of amplification devices such as hearing
aids, FM devices, and cochlear implants.
Auditory Verbal Therapy approach
assumes parents / caregivers as an
important team member.
Parents / caregivers are the primary
models for the development of listening
and spoken language.
