SITE LOCATION-MANAPET VILLAGE,PONDICHERRY,INDIA

FILM CITY:
This project is a hypothetical project, the location of the project is at
Manapet village ,Pondicherry.
The site is near the beach front , film city will boost up the
regional cinema and also the state tourism The citys tree-lined
boulevards, beach-front and streetscapes that exude an old-world
charm and draw tourists from across the world have also served as a
setting for film-makers to advance their plots.
AIM:
(1) Create a major hotspot in the film city which would attract both the tourist and film makers
(2) Creating a platform for regional cinemas with amalgamation of art and culture, this would
also guide me through the role of an architect in motion pictures.
(3) The Art of Moving Picture could be testing ground for new architectural forms and concepts.
Film also shapes public perceptions of Architecture, As a mass medium, film plays an important role in
the way in the way of architecture is received and interpreted. Even Architecture Graduates are
Animating the Film Industry.

SCOPE OF THE STUDY:

This study will enable a clear understanding of the concept of film making and also various
departments involved under film making, this will also give an idea about buildings in film city both
permanent and temporary (outdoor film sets).
OBJECTIVES:
(1) Develop a planning scheme which is simple and carefully defined where the public, semi
public, private areas are.
(2) To achieve maximum transperancy of space with intermingling of indoor and outdoor
spaces.
(3) Design with combination of Natural, Creative, Enjoyable and a relieving casual and
professional environment
(4) Create another major hot-spot in the film city for tourism.
ARCHITECTURAL SCOPE:
Site planning of the whole film city with relation to both indoor and outdoor city will be a
challenge. and also the challenge to isolate the spaces in terms of privacy because it will even
serve as a tourist spot.
Set designs inspite of just focussing on the built form I would like explore about the process And
making of outdoor sets.
Street Scapes ,Landscapes, film studios would also be a major part of designs.

DRUG DE ADDICTION CENTRE:

To provide an architectural response to societies health needs by creating a detox
facility which is ready to motivate ,inspire and helps the drug addict in their battle to overcome
Drug addiction.
Approximately 78% of the youths in punjab are into to drugs, there is an immense need
of de addiction centres there, many Ngos and Government organisation have come up with lot
of proposals to get affected out of it.
OBJECTIVES:
(1) Create a place that can enhance holistic treatment for drug addicts patients.
(2) Creating a therapeutic environment which will be devoid of institutional or prison mentality
design.
(3) The design will be Recovery oriented and patient centred
(4) providing a safe and protected environments to the patients.
SCOPE:
The project entrails the planning and design scheme of both the inpatient and the out patient
Which comprises:
-Patients accomodation
-All forms of Theraphy
-Recreational Areas And Monitoring centres

acclaimed cuisines and providing the top class cooking technology.
SCOPE:

Looking at this project in terms of its relevance in the current context of globalization and India
finding its cultural identity, one can easily find the most quick association being made with
Indian Food. Although, there are a number of reputed Hotel Management Institutes across
India, an Institute focused on the culinary art are very few in number. Two projects (Noida and
Tirupati) under the government are under way and so this document will an addition to the
need for quality chefs to be produced to have a stronger hold for India on the Food Map.
