Auto Delete Stored Files
Auto-deleting files from the Document Server
Files stored on the Document Server can automatically be deleted at a specific period.
A user can set the period to store files on the Document Server, and when that time has
passed, the files will automatically be deleted from the Document Server. If the setting
is disabled, the files remains stored.
- If Auto Delete File in Document Server is enabled, the message will appear on the
operation panel.
- If stored files are deleted, the action of them being deleted will be recorded in the
Security Logs (Access Log).
Device Settings > Download Logs > Security Logs (Access Log)
Auto Delete Stored Files
Auto-deleting files from the Document Server
- Example A: When the setting is enabled, stored files will be automatically
deleted.
- Example B: When the setting is disabled, stored files will remain.
- Example C: When the setting is enabled, disabled, and then re-enabled, only
files that were on the Document Server the first time the setting was enabled will
be deleted according to the period configured at that time.

Notes:
- This function cannot be used as a complete alternative solution to the current method
of obtaining network packets because of the controllers limitations. These limitations
include not being able to capture packets when the engine is off or captured files being
separated even if there are no differences in the amount of information.
- Capturing packets with the default settings configured might not be useful for
investigation the cause of an issue. If the user agrees to the full packet data being
captured, configuring the setting mentioned above is recommended.

Packets to be stored
Only network packets with the device as the
destination can be captured.

Limitations
Network packet captures cannot be stored in the
following cases:
From when the machine is turned on until the packet-capturing
function starts.
From when the network function is restarted until it restarts.
Under the same conditions as when the log-storing function
does not work:
When the engine is off.
When any of the following SC error occur:
SC672, SC816, SC819, SC859, SC860, SC861, SC862, SC863,
SC864, SC878, and SC899.

Polling
Polling is a process that the device conducts to check for
other devices.
In 15A and 16S models, the interval range for SNTP polling
will be changed. However, there are no plans to backport it.

16S and later
What is optical character recognition (OCR)?
This function embeds invisible text on scanned images of a PDF
and enables users to search the PDF file.

Changes as of 16S Models
16S and later
In 15A and previous models, if the documents are upside
down, the machine will automatically detect it and modify
the orientation. This function always applies when the
OCR feature is being used.
However, an image of one or two pages in multiple sheets
might be rotated and scanned.
Example: There are handwritten letters on the outside of the table.
