1.1 The Background of Study

1.3 The purpose of Study


1. To know what are the learning strategy for developing
writing skill that have students at SMA Negeri 1 Manyak
Payed do.

 1.4 The Scope of Study

The main focus of this study is to analyze the


students’ learning strategy for developing writing
skill from the students at SMA Negeri 1 Manyak
Payed, especially on students grade XI.
1.5 Conceptual Framework

According to Carrol (1990:1) “Good writing is not


equivalent to good spelling and grammar, in fact
there will be no advise or instructionin those areas
here.
Based on the theory above the
researcher have describe about the success learning
strategy for developing writing skill will achive
when the students have some strategy to get the
knowledge about the steps to make the good
writing, so the students who have this knowledge
will make the good writing in their learning
activities.
1.6 Population and Sample

The population of this


research was in SMA Negeri 1
Manyak Payed. The researcher chose
the population students grade XI. The
sample of this research were taken by
using probability sampling especially
simple random sampling.
1.7 The Significant of Study

 To the researcher, the result of this study expected to increase the researcher’s
knowledge and experience about the students’ learning strategy for
developing writing skill and the researcher get much information and
knowledge about the learning strategy for developing writing skill.
 To the readers, this study expected gives an interpretation about The learning
strategy for developing writing skill and the readers will get the information
and more knowledge about the learning strategy for developing writing skill
more detail.
 To make some advantages for educational field, especially in teaching writing
because this study explain about the learning strategy for developing writing

 To another researcher, the result of this study expected can give reference in
similar aspects to the future study and the researcher hope that those who

they seek without too much effort. With this in mind, there are certain
