to the growing micronutrient
malnutrition, which has been prevalent in
the country for the past several years.
FOOD FORTIFICATON
 Fortification is defined as the addition of
nutrients to processed foods or food
products at levels above the natural state.
 Food Fortification is addition of
micronutrient, deficient in the diet, to a
food which is widely consumed by a
specific at-risk groups
