A History of Innovation
Since the beginning in 1973, Wheeled Coach has kept its eye on the future; always working with customers
to improve upon today's ambulances and rescue vehicles. The goal has been to make emergency vehicles
safer for both patient and crew, and at the same time, make them more efficient. Starting with the first van-
type ambulance in the industry, the product developments keep on coming.

WHEELED COACH’S BUSINESS MODEL

For the biggest picture, Wheeled Coach is a multinational company that assemblying and build an ambulance. the market
capytalized approximately $200 Mio.
Here the bussines model that Wheeled Coach intend to do :
• Customer’s Segment :Around 75% sales is come from US local corporate that order the ambulance by their own design and
customize And for 25% sales market, came from international (outside US Soil) company that order and customized their
ambulance
• Bussines Value : as a karoseri company,Wheeled Coach already specialized on ambulance customized. The customized
ambulance was by customer’s design and will meet the customer’s requirement. Also in some parts, Wheeled Coach already
manufactured it by themself.
• Services Channel : The Services channel model is used “make by order” models. It means the company produced and
manufactured the ambulances by customer’s order design. It helps us to prevent the over stocked ambulance that leave unsales.
WHEELED COACH’S BUSINESS MODEL

• Business Relationship : Wheeled Coach doing business by purchase 2/3 of the items to assembly by other
companies and anufactured 1/3 on their own. For the design Wheeled Coach got the order design by customer.
• Revenue : The biggest income come from the US market sales that occur by 75% capacity.
• Key Resource : Have 350 workers, that work 10x7 working time. Produced 20 ambulances each week. 6000
items by own manufactured, and 12000 by others.
• Key Activities : assembly line from bodies aluminium, electrical wiring custom, interior cabinets, windows,
painting, and upholestory.
• Key Partners : As main partners of truck pabric, they have partner agreement with Ford.
• Cost Structure : Production Items Cost, Prchasing Cost, R&D Cost, Inventory Cost, Labor work cost and
Marketing Cost.

The concept of product life cycle Maturity Stage :The Wheeled Coach’ (WC) Product Life Cycle
currently is in the Maturity Stage as the world largest manufacturer of ambulances. The
characteristic of the maturity stage which can be seen in WC as follow :
• WC already got the biggest market share in the industry, the brand differentiation is already
made as WC focused only on the production of ambulance
• WC has a found competitive advantage by using the MRP, which can be used to maintain the
cost efficiently through the low inventory level, effective production process on tight
production schedule with just in time installation and high quality products
• Feature diversification to the customer, all the WC’s products is a custom made which made
based on their requirements and consumer loyalty already gained
