AIM:
Using arecanut dehusking machine we are able to
provide:
 Low cost method of arecanut dehusking.

 Reduction of manpower.

 Improvement in number of nuts processed.

 Reduction in human effort.

ABSTRACT:
Traditionally dehusking is carried out manually. In
recent days farmer find it difficult to find labour due to
scarcity and rise in cost of labour. There are already
some arecanut dehusking machines but in present
work we are planning to make an attempt to improve
the capacity of present arecanut dehusking machine
which has some certain drawbacks. This machine
makes use of friction between rotating tyres and
casing. The enclosed casing is made with mild steel for
effective dehusking of arecanuts without damaging
the nuts. The cost we expected to afford the machine is
at Rs.20000 .
APPLICATIONS:
 It can be used in remote areas where huge machines
cannot be taken.
 It can be used in smallscale industries.

 Easier to transport this machine because of its small

size compared to other machines.
 Cost is less compared with other machines.

 Affordable to farmers.
