PWDGR: Pair-Wise Directional

Geographical
Routing Based on Wireless Sensor
Network With Multiple Source
Node
ABSTRACT
 In wireless sensor network multipath routing makes it possible to
transfer data simultaneously for reducing delay and congestion.
 Using of multiple alternative paths through a network, which can yield
a variety of benefits such as fault tolerance, increased bandwidth, or
improved security.
 However the current multipath routing strategy may cause problem
that the node energy near sink becomes obviously higher than other
nodes which makes the network invalid and dead.
ABSTRACT
• Using Pairwise Directional Geographical Routing Strategy we can solve the energy
bottleneck problem.
• First send data to the pairwise node around sink using DGR(Directional
Geographical Routing). Then transfer data to sink node by GPSR(Greedy
Perimeter Stateless Routing).
• These pair-wise nodes are equally selected in 360◦ scope around sink according to a
certain algorithm. Therefore, it can effectively relieve the serious energy burden
around Sink and also make a balance between energy consumption and end-to-end
delay.
• The Initial deployments of wireless sensor networks were based on many to one
communication paradigm. In this method we propose the efficient routing form
multiple sources to multiple Sinks in wireless sensor networks.
Objectives
• Overcome the Sink node energy burden issue in multipath routing in
wireless sensor network by Pair Wise Directional Geographical
Routing.

• It may reduce chances to wireless sensor network dead and failure.

• Proposing a method for multiple source node in the concept of

PWDGR.

• The Data can be transferred from multiple source nodes then it

transferred via multi path routing to the single sink node.
EXISTING SYSTEM
• The Existing System is provide the PWDGR strategy for
overcome the energy burden issue in multi path routing.

• The Existing System proposes the PWDGR paradigm for

single to single communication.

• First, the source node can send the data to the pair-wise node
around the sink node in accordance with certain algorithm and
then it will send the data to the sink node.
EXISTING SYSTEM
• The Data will transferred from source node to destination sink
node by using multi path routing method.

• Therefore, it can effectively relieve the serious energy burden

around Sink and also make a balance between energy
consumption and end-to-end delay
Disadvantages:
• Existing System only proposed for single source node to
single sink node data transferring.

• Computational time will take high,.

• Data transmission rate is less.

• Hop limit is cannot initiated.

PROPOSED SYSTEM
• We propose the Pair-Wise Directional Geographical Routing Based on
WSN which contains multiple source nodes and single destination node
.

• By selecting cooperative node of each source node then transferring

data to the pairwise node around sink using DGR.

• Then the data will send through the multi path routing method.
PROPOSED SYSTEM
• Finally it transmitted to the hop nodes of sink node for reducing
energy burden around the sink node.

• Then the shortest angle node will be calculated with the each hop node
to sink node then the data is transferred to the sink node.
Advantages:
• Data can be send through the multiple source and single sink node.

• Computation process is less

• Error tolerance is very less

• Time to live packet property is high in the network

MODULES DESCRIPTION
Wireless Sensor Network
• Wireless sensor networks consist of small nodes with sensing,
computation, and wireless communications capabilities.
• It includes multimedia information perceptive function, its
nodes are generally provided with camera, mini-microphone,
and other sensors which can collect simple environmental
data.
• WMSNs can be widely used in various fields such as battlefield
visual monitoring, environment monitoring, safety monitoring,
traffic monitoring, intelligent home, and medical treatment
and public healthcare.
Multipath Routing
• Multipath route are paths built between sources and sink nodes
and distributes data equally to many paths so as to make more
nodes participate and prolong lives of nodes and network.
• WDGR multipath route scheme is proposed based on directional
geographical routing (DGR) route scheme.
• The algorithm of source multipath dispatch-selection first-hop
node is optimized by taking the energy consumption problem
into consideration and the follow-up retransmission node
changes accordingly after the first hop node changes so that the
energy consumption of the whole network keeps balance to a
higher degree.
