Go Direct® Acceleration Sensor

 This 3-axis acceleration sensor has

two acceleration ranges plus an
altimeter and a 3-axis gyroscope. An
additional channel measures the
angle of the sensor’s long axis.
Measure helmet impacts in
concussion-related investigations.
Slip it into your pocket and pirouette
or ride a half-pipe.
Mount this accelerometer on your
bicycle or affix it to your lab cart
without any dragging cables.

Spectro
Vis®Plus Spectrophotometer
Click to SpectroVis Plus is a portable and affordable visible
light spectrophotometer with fluorescence capabilities.
Measure wavelengths from 380 nm to 950 nm and analyze
results in full color.
The SpectroVis Plus educational spectrophotometer
combines fluorescence capabilities with a linear CCD array
detector in an award winning, compact unit that requires no
external power supply. Two different excitation wavelengths
enable analysis of compounds such as fluorescein,
chlorophyll, or GFP.
• Connect SpectroVis directly to LabQuest or a computer
USB port.
• Set up experiments quickly with one-step calibration.
• Collect data in under one second with array spectrometer
technology.
• Analyze full-wavelength spectrum data in full-color with
Logger Pro.

COL-BTA

This 4-wavelength
Colorimeter measures
the amount of light
transmitted through a
sample at a user-
selectable wavelength
in order to determine
the concentration of a
solution. Features such
as automatic sensor
identification and one-
step calibration make
this sensor easy to use
Go
Wireless® Temp
 Description
 Waterproof. Rugged. Wireless.
 The rugged, all-purpose Go
Wireless Temp gives you the
advantage of go-anywhere,
work-anywhere wireless
connectivity. Because it is also
waterproof, Go Wireless Temp is
more durable than sensors that
are simply water resistant.
Low-g Accelerometer

 The Low-g Accelerometer is the

best choice for most acceleration
experiments, including Newton’s
second law, simple harmonic
motion, and the relationship
between acceleration and force.
It can also be used to study one-
dimensional motion of a car (real
and toy), an elevator, a pendulum
bob, or an amusement park ride.
Wireless Dynamics Sensor System

 Use the WDSS with your Bluetooth-

enabled computer and Logger
Pro software, or with your
LabQuest 2, to collect data free of
friction due to cables. Internal
data storage capacity allows you
to use it as a stand-alone data
logger, making it great for roller
coaster physics. In addition, you
can use the WDSS to do traditional
experiments that you do with
conventional accelerometers and
force sensors.
The 3-Axis Accelerometer

 The 3-Axis Accelerometer consists

of three –5 to +5 g accelerometers
mounted in one small block. Using
the appropriate data collection
hardware and software, you can
graph any of these components,
or calculate the magnitude of the
net acceleration. The 3-Axis
Accelerometer can be used for a
wide variety of experiments and
demonstrations, both inside the
lab and outside.
Dual-Range Force Sensor
 The Dual-Range Force Sensor is a
general-purpose sensor for
measuring pushing and pulling
forces. This sensor connects to a
Vernier interface in order to
collect data on your device.
 Friction
 Simple harmonic motion
 Impact in collisions
 Centripetal force
Blood
Pressure
Sensor
 The Blood Pressure
Sensor is a non-invasive
sensor designed to
measure human blood
pressure. It measures
systolic, diastolic and
mean arterial pressure
utilizing the oscillometric
technique. Pulse rate is
also reported.
CO2
Gas Sensor
 With this sensor, you can easily
monitor changes in CO2 levels
occurring in respiration of
organisms ranging from peas to
humans. A 250 mL respiration
chamber with probe attachment
is included for running controlled
experiments with small plants and
animals.
 On the high range, you can
explore human respiratory
changes in CO2 levels based on
exercise.
 The lower range offers more
sensitivity for cellular respiration
and photosynthetic metabolism
studies.
Spirometer

 The Spirometer is designed to

make human respiratory
measurements at rest and during
moderate activity. Use it to
perform a variety of experiments
related to air flow and lung
volume. The removable flow head
(22 mm ID/30 mm OD) makes it
easy to clean and sterilize.

Microphone

 Use the Microphone to display

and study the waveforms of
sounds from voices and musical
instruments. It also works well for
speed of sound experiments.

Hand-Grip
Heart
Rate Monitor

 The Hand-Grip Heart Rate

Monitor is ideal for
continuously monitoring heart
rate before, during, and after
exercise or while a person
is stationary.
Hand Dynamometer Logan

 Specifications
 Accuracy: ±0.6 N
 Power: 7 mA @ 5VDC
 Typical Resolution: 0.2141 N
 Safety range (maximum force
without damage done to sensor):
0 to 850 N
 Operational range: 0 to 600 N
Vernier Energy Sensor

 Setting up a circuit to study

renewable energy systems such as
wind turbinesor solar panels is easy
with the Vernier Energy Sensor.
Simply connect a source such as a
small wind turbine or solar panel to
one side and a load such as the
Variable Load or a resistor on
Vernier Resistor Board to the other
side.
 The Energy Sensor measures the
current and voltage of the system.
Data-collection and analysis
software, such as Logger Pro or
LabQuest App can then calculate
the power and energy output.
