Behind Closed Doors (BCDs) Wellness
1. Student Concern
Prompt:
“You’ve been asked by your supervisor to check up on a resident whose
name was brought up at staff meeting. You were asked to check on how
they’re doing in classes.”

Actor Perspectives
You’ve been struggling lately in classes, and you know it’ll get better
after this big test that you’ve been cramming for. You’ve been arguing
with your partner a lot so you’ve just had trouble concentrating lately.
You’ll get back on track though.
Behind Closed Doors (BCDs) Wellness
2. Suicidal Ideation
Prompt:
“You receive a text from a friend in a different hall letting you know that
one of the students in your building is in Dance Theater with them and
was recently cut from a performance. Your friend also said that they had
just finished a major test, and had a ton of family things going on. In the
text your friend asked you to check on them as soon as possible.”

Actor Perspective:
Your parents have been constantly fighting and using you as the middle
man, on top of that you just took a test you were super stressed about
and feel like you have totally failed. The last week, well last month has
not been easy. It seems like anything that could go wrong does. On top
of all of this you missed a rehearsal for one of your performances and
they cut you from the act. Now your only social outlet and way of getting
away from all of the stress is gone to. You are questioning what’s left
and why to even be here. You just want to die.
